00:00Two people introduced the President of the party appointed by Pastor Apolo Quibuloy to his candidacy.

00:07One of them declared that he is not a member of the Church Of Christ,

00:11while another spokesman of Quibuloy answered.

00:15The story of the Comelec is in the hands of Sandra Aguinaldo.

00:21Pastor Apolo Quibuloy's camp showed some pictures of a strong woman

00:26that her CONA or Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance that you are questioning in the Comelec is legitimate.

00:33The CONA was issued by an official of a party where an individual is their true candidate.

00:40The CONA that was issued by Quibuloy was signed by Atty. Mark Tolentino, who is also a political spokesman of Quibuloy.

00:47Tolentino said that he is the President of the Workers and Peasants Party or WPP.

00:53During the 2022 elections, he was the one who led the signing of the CONA by the candidates of the party.

00:59Based on the record of the Comelec, I am the President of WPP.

01:08As you can see, the President there is Mark Christopher Tolentino.

01:12We also have the authority to sign the CONA from the Comelec.

01:16But Atty. Sunny Matula insisted that he is the President of the WPP.

01:22They held a party convention where the candidates were chosen, but Tolentino was not there.

01:30They are hijacking the WPP to improve Polo Quibuloy.

01:37In our opinion, it's a game of smoke and mirror that our countrymen want to play.

01:46I think they are using schemes of magicians to cover up the cases that Polo Quibuloy is facing.

01:59Matula also showed the sworn list of authorized signatories in the CONA that they submitted to the Comelec on September 25.

02:07Atty. Tolentino is not on the list.

02:09According to the Comelec, Tolentino's group also submitted to the Comelec the list of authorized signatories.

02:16The Commission said that it is possible that there are factions in the party.

02:20We have two authorized signatories and therefore the Comelec is still resolving.

02:25If the Comelec needs to pass, only one of the factions will be recognized

02:30and the candidates of the other faction will become independent candidates.

02:35According to the Supreme Court, the Comelec is empowered to resolve intra-party disputes

02:40and our basis will always be the bylaws, the constitutional bylaws of the political party.

02:46According to the Justice Department, their cases are under investigation and that's why Quibuloy is running.

02:52His filing of the certificate of candidacy for Senate is a dare to the government to do something fast.

03:01Because if the time comes and he becomes lawful as a senator, then he will have some sort of protection already.

03:12But what we want is for him to face the charges first, not to make a mockery of the election system, not to make a mockery of democracy.
