00:00On October 23, the Senate again heard the allegations of the abuse of Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

00:06The Senate will now ask the court to face them, the pastor, and the cases of Quiboloy in the Philippines,

00:13apart from his cases in America, where his accomplice was arranged for a lower sentence.

00:23In the case of Sex and Labor Trafficking Operations in America filed in 2021,

00:32Pastor Apollo Quiboloy's accomplice is Marisa Duenas,

00:35Director of Operations and Human Resources Manager of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ in America.

00:41In a pre-bargaining agreement on October 7,

00:44Duenas was arranged in the Attorney's Office of the Central District of California for a lower sentence.

00:50Based on the document obtained by GMA Integrated News from a reliable source,

00:55Duenas admitted that he is guilty of conspiring or conspiring to commit sham marriages

01:01or pecking marriages of members of the KOJC that they bring to America.

01:06Between 2015 and January 29, 2020,

01:10there were alleged conspiracies with Quiboloy to commit marriage fraud against the law of America.

01:18They often bring members of the KOJC from the Philippines to marry,

01:23to apply for permanent residence status and citizenship.

01:27When they are already married and resident,

01:29Duenas is forced to divorce them to do sham marriages to others.

01:34In Duenas' pre-bargain agreement,

01:36the California Attorney's Office recommends a two-level reduction in the penalty for Duenas.

01:42The case in America where Duenas admitted that he is guilty,

01:46is the reason why Pastor Apolo Quiboloy, his accomplice, is wanted in America.

01:52Here in the Philippines, there is also a case of qualified human trafficking and child sexual abuse of Quiboloy.

01:58Even if Duenas is not with his accomplices of Quiboloy,

02:02in his cases in Quezon City and Pasig Regional Trial Court,

02:05the field of victims who confessed to Quiboloy's conspiracies in America is still happy.

02:11Although it is stated in the pre-bargaining agreement that it is not binding,

02:17but it is just the same.

02:21We are happy because there is significance and relevance here.

02:25The factual basis that is stated in the agreement will conform to our theory here in qualified human trafficking.

02:33It's really the same pattern. That's what we're saying. Same pattern.

02:37This is a welcome development for the Philippine government.

02:41But there needs to be steps taken for us to introduce that evidence here in the Philippines as well.

02:50We are also asking for the approval of KOJC.

02:53According to the DOJ, Quiboloy's run in the Senate in the election of 2025 seems to be related to his cases.

03:01His filing of the Certificate of Candidacy for Senate is a dare to the government to do something fast.

03:10Because if the time comes and he is elected as a senator, then he will have some sort of protection already.

03:21But what we want is for him to face the charges first.

03:25Not to make a mockery of the election system, not to make a mockery of democracy.

03:31The Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance of KONA was questioned by Quiboloy's friend, signed by Atty. Mark Tolentino.

03:39Tolentino said that he is the president of the Workers and Peasants Party or WPP.

03:44And before the 2022 elections, he was the one who signed the KONA by the candidates of the party.

03:50Based on the record of KOMELEC, I am the president of WPP.

03:53I have with me the certification from the KOMELEC.

03:57As you can see, the president there is Mark V. Tolentino.

04:01We also have the authority to sign the KONA from the KOMELEC.

04:05But Atty. Sonny Matula insisted that he is the president of WPP.

04:11They held a party convention where they chose their candidates but Tolentino was not there.

04:19It's like they are hijacking the WPP to improve Apollo Quiboloy.

04:25In our opinion, it's a game of smoke and mirror that our countrymen want to confuse.

04:32I think they are using schemes of magicians to cover up the cases that Apollo Quiboloy is facing.

04:43Matula also showed a sworn list of authorized signatories for the KONA that they submitted to the KOMELEC on September 25.

04:50Atty. Tolentino is not on the list.

04:53According to KOMELEC, the group of Tolentino submitted a list of authorized signatories.

04:58The commission said that it's possible that there are factions in the party.

05:02The factions can fix the issue.

05:05KOMELEC can also do that.

05:06If KOMELEC will fix it, only one faction will be recognized.

05:10The candidates of the other faction will be independent candidates.

05:14The Supreme Court said that KOMELEC is empowered to resolve intra-party disputes.

05:19Our basis will always be the constitutional bylaws of the political party.
