00:00Well, 28 people were killed. Some more people are dying. According to the Palestinian Health,
00:06two more people were killed and 92 others were injured. Some of the people who are injured
00:11are critically, critically injured, and they are now struggling for their life. The situation
00:16is extremely catastrophic. The bombardment that hit the place was very powerful that
00:21it took the life of the 28 people and injured the 92. The UNRWA is also upset about the
00:27situation. They have been condemning the targeting of the shelters and they have been seen in
00:32that as a targeting of the general life of the population who are not engaging in any
00:36military activities in the area. According to the statistics and the details of the people
00:41who were killed, some people are 87, some people are 66, some people are 85, some people
00:47are 58, some people are 52, some people are children. So the number of the people and
00:54the ages of the people are indicative of the fact that the ones who were inside that shelter,
01:00the internment of those people, are the ones who bore the brunt of that attack and the
01:04ones who paid the heaviest price given the large number of people who were killed, including
01:09some elderly men, women, and children, and also the large number of people who were killed.
01:14The Palestinian Minister of Health made a special statement about that. They have used
01:19as a reference the details and the bio data of the people who were killed to show that
01:23the ones who were the victims of that incident are the Palestinian civilians who were targeted
01:29and who are still being targeted throughout the whole war and who make around two-thirds
01:34of the number of victims in that war. So another incident, another targeting of a shelter,
01:40another condemnation by the international organizations, and another death and funerals
01:45that will be now heading to the graveyards if they have space or they would be burying
01:50people on top of other people who were deceased or dead a few months or a few days or a few
01:55weeks ago. Critical situation, misery that is still continuous in Gaza.
02:00Akram, we're seeing reports that Hamas and its rival, Fatah, may have agreed to form
02:06what's being described as a temporary committee to try to distribute aid in Gaza. Do you know
02:13anything more about that?
02:18According to the information that are leaking from Cairo, no agreement has been reached
02:23yet. There are many contention points that are still being discussed by the two rival
02:27parties. They don't seem to have been close to any agreement so far. Cairo invited them.
02:34Cairo has been pushing both parties to show some concessions for the sake of reaching
02:38a common ground. Politically, they are not reaching a common ground yet, and I think
02:43they are still going to discuss things, and I wouldn't be surprised to know that they
02:47have managed to agree on a specific date in the future to come back to Cairo and discuss
02:53things. The way and also the dynamics between Hamas and Fatah are extremely difficult, and
02:58I don't think, given the political heritage of each of them, they are likely to agree
03:02on something sometime soon.
03:04Akram, thank you for that. Our correspondent Akram Al-Satari in Khan Yunis.
