00:00Police have arrested a foreign woman suspected of obstructing traffic
00:08and causing a public nuisance in Setia Alam.
00:11Shah Alam OCPD Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Iqbal Ibrahim said officers responded to a report
00:18about a woman behaving erratically and sitting in the middle of the road at around 4.50pm on Wednesday.
00:25When police arrived, they found the woman, accompanied by her dog,
00:29intoxicated and acting aggressively.
00:31She had no identification documents and was taken to the Shah Alam District Police Headquarters
00:37while her dog was handed over to the Shah Alam City Council.
00:41ACP Mohammad Iqbal stated that the 32-year-old woman is believed to be a Russian national
00:47with no prior criminal record.
00:49She had entered Malaysia four years ago for a vacation
00:53but was unable to return home due to the COVID-19 pandemic and financial difficulties.
00:59The woman tested positive for drugs and has been remanded until October 22.
