00:00G'day, I'm Paul. Suzuki's infotainment system is a little bit dated but in my opinion still very
00:05easy to use and one of the better systems on the market in terms of functionality. Today we're
00:09going to do a detailed review of it to see just how easy it is to use. If you haven't done so
00:15already have a look at the rest of the videos on our channel. We've got some great car reviews there
00:18and other infotainment reviews as well but let's get started. It's a seven inch screen that slots
00:25into this area here. The home screen is divided into four sections. You have listen up the top
00:31which is for radio. You have AM and FM bands. There's no DAB plus digital radio in there
00:36unfortunately. You can then flick over to media where you'll find USB connectivity plus Bluetooth
00:40and the ability to stream from an SD card and an auxiliary port. We jump back over to the home
00:45screen. You have inbuilt satellite navigation. This works fairly well. It's not the best system
00:50in the world but it's you know it does the job. So let's have a test here. Put in our favorite
00:55destination points of interest search. We'll put in Melbourne airport. Okay so already this is a
01:00little bit annoying because I have to put in an area for the point of interest search country
01:06Australia and then you're going to put in the city which is actually I don't even know where
01:13Melbourne airport is. So this immediately is kind of convoluted because if you don't know the place
01:19that you're trying to search you won't be able to find the point of interest which is a little bit
01:23frustrating. So that's not great. What about an address? I guess that's all pretty straightforward.
01:26You just put in the country city postcode blah blah blah and then it goes. So that is your inbuilt
01:30satellite navigation but you also have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto which is built into the
01:37screen and wired so you have to use a cable. You don't have a wireless setup. This works fairly
01:42well. It takes up the entire screen. You can flick through those menus and you can also send voice
01:46commands to your phone so that the voice recognition system is better. The car's inbuilt
01:51voice recognition system works okay but it's not amazing so you're not able to give it full
01:55navigation commands. You can give it basic instructions like calling contacts though. So
01:59let me disconnect CarPlay. This is what the phone menu looks like. You've got your previous call
02:04history contacts and a dial pad as well and then finally you have shortcuts. So in the center you
02:08have your favorite items so you can click on any of those and then each of your pillars has a
02:14shortcut so if you want to go straight to destination entry you can go there or if you
02:17want to go to your sources you can go to the shortcut in the listen menu. So Suzuki's infotainment
02:22system, yes it's getting on in age but it's still pretty easy to use and the inbuilt smartphone
02:26mirroring makes it even easier to access modern technology. If you did enjoy this video I'd love
02:31it if you could hit the like button, follow it up with a subscribe and check out some of the
02:35other videos on our channel. But until next time, take it easy.
