00:00All right, so Brandon Cooks out for Dallas, Jalen Tolbert is one player that has stepped
00:08up for the Cowboys, been looking for that number two.
00:11George, how long have the Cowboys been looking for that number two since Alvin Harper?
00:15Like it feels like we're doing this every single year, like 20 years.
00:19It's Terrell Owens and nobody and Lamb and no one and Dez Bryant and no one, right?
00:25Can I keep going here?
00:26The Cowboys have the number one guy covered, but it seems like they never have the number
00:30two.
00:31It was Gallup or it's always just some other guy that never turned out to be.
00:36Tolbert seems like a decent option, but again, the other thing that I would caution people
00:39with is that just as soon as some of these guys start to look good is as soon as they
00:44look good on the film too for opposing defenses.
00:47And then all of a sudden the defense shifts a little bit over.
00:49I think Lamb is going to be more of the beneficiary of Tolbert playing well.
00:53I like Tolbert.
00:54I had Tolbert.
00:55Picked him up, used him, cut him.
00:57I just, I don't know.
00:59I think in a bye week situation, that's probably where you would go here with him as your wide
01:03receiver three, but the numbers aren't bad.
01:10Yeah, I think that when you look at it, 20 receptions, 247 yards, two touchdowns.
01:18I mean, to me, it's really somebody that I think can take the next step, but I feel like
01:23he's more of a flex wide receiver three option.
01:27When you said, when your first comment on the Cowboys, when was the last time they had
01:30a good second wide receiver?
01:32By the way, my first thought was Alvin Harper as well.
01:35That would actually be, by the way, when they had Roy Williams and Miles Olsen would be
01:38the last time I would say, was when they had it.
01:41Everything you said is true and there'll be more on Tolbert later, by the way.
01:44A little preview for you.
01:48Now he's a second round pick.
01:49He was supposed to be that guy, right?
01:51He was supposed to be that guy for C.D. Lamb.
01:54Tolbert, he's playing better.
01:56He's not going to take away coverage for C.D. Lamb.
01:57He's just not.
01:58The team's going to look to take C.D. out.
01:59That's not all Tolbert's fault.
02:00Part of it's because the running game is not impressive either, although I know Dattle
02:04did some damage last week here.
02:05The goodness of Tolbert, and I do believe that he's going to do some damage here, is
02:09that the Cowboys coming up are playing a lot of good offenses, all right?
02:13Their schedule upcoming here, they do have a bye week next week, so keep that in mind,
02:16but they play Detroit this week.
02:18Should be behind in that game.
02:19Going to have to throw.
02:21They play San Fran in San Fran.
02:22We know that doesn't go well for Dattle.
02:23Should have to throw there.
02:24Atlanta, Philadelphia, Tampa, these are all teams that are going to be playing in the
02:30near future.
02:31Washington.
02:32So lots of chance for Tolbert to step up here.
02:34And by the way, if Tolbert can play well, Craig, I don't know if Brandon Cooks comes
02:38back and is that number two.
02:40He's done very little this year.
02:41He may go and just be the number three guy, or C.D. Lamb is going to play in the slot
02:45here, which he does a lot anyway, with Tolbert and Cooks being the outside guy.
02:49So I'm on board.
02:50I'm not saying a game breaker.
02:51Wide receiver three is where he's probably going to be most weeks here.
02:55But I think Tolbert could do some damage.
