01:23At first I thought belly dancing was going to be just a hobby, but for me, nothing really

01:36Okay, awesome, all right, just make sure no alcohol, no caffeine on the day off, perfect.
01:44I have four careers, in addition to dancing, I'm a professional permanent makeup artist,
01:50I'm a vegan baker, and I'm a medical sales rep.
01:56I'm definitely a type A personality, Jill of all traits, a lot of work, work never stops.
02:04I work day and night, but I don't mind it.
02:07I have my own house, my own car, I'm super confident in every aspect of my life.
02:12But when it comes to dating and relationships, it's been a show.
02:18Eleven years ago, I met the man I thought I would spend the rest of my life with.
02:23We actually got engaged in a Great Wall in China, that was cool, but we started having
02:29some arguments and I couldn't really figure out what was going on.
02:33And then one day I came over to his house and I caught him making out with a girl on

02:39It was like a scene from a movie playing in slow motion, it was really bad.
02:45I figured out that the whole relationship was a lie, he literally led a double life.
02:51So that came as a complete shock.
02:54And it has been super hard to bounce back.

03:00I'm originally from Bosnia in Eastern Europe.
03:03So eight months ago, I took a solo trip back home to reconnect with my culture, my country,
03:11my people, and get my groove back.
03:14I went to Serbia, Bosnia, Slovenia, and Croatia.
03:18I just went to a lot of different cities that I've never been to before, and I ended up
03:22in Split.
03:23I got to spend one night there.
03:26It was late night, I was bored, I was swiping through a dating app.
03:30And it was like, whoa, oh my God, absolute perfection.

03:38He's a basketball player who's very successful.
03:42I've never dated an athlete before, and he's very hot, like really hot.
03:47He has a six pack that I want to wash some laundry on.

03:57And then he didn't respond until I already left the city, it was already time for me
04:01to go back home.
04:03But we started talking, and it just continued over time.
04:09And every time I hear that ding on the phone from him, I go like, ooh, butterflies.

06:42A few months into the relationship, I was planning my trip to go visit him in Croatia.
06:47And then, all of a sudden, I noticed Bozo was acting a little strange.
06:51Not picking up the phones, not being as communicative.
06:55And then, I get a phone call from Bozo, and he just says,
06:59Vanya, I can't see you anymore.
07:01I'm seeing somebody here.
07:02Sorry.
07:04And that was it.
07:08This was a man that I cared so much about.
07:11I'm planning this entire future out with him.
07:14And it's just, it's devastating.
07:19Yes.
07:20That was a horrible thing.
07:21But the way that I look at that is, A, he was honest.
07:24He told me.
07:25And then, he obviously woke up and saw that he missed out on something amazing.
07:31A couple of months later, he texted me and he said,
07:34I'm no longer with the other girl, and I would really like to work on this again.
07:39Even though I was really upset, I decided that I don't want to live my life in a world of what-ifs.
07:46So, that's the reason why I decided to try to pursue this again.
07:52You don't even know anything about this other woman.
07:56Like, what, you know, who is she?
07:58How do you know they're not still talking?
08:00I don't know.
08:01That's why I want to go there and see.
08:03But, you know how hard it is for me to find somebody that I like.
08:06He encompasses all the things that I really love.
08:10So, I'm not letting this one go.
08:12I think that Vanya, generally, she's going for men who fit a checklist.
08:19And so, she doesn't do a lot of due diligence.
08:24And a lot of really nasty stuff sort of gets uncovered.
08:29But after, she's very attached.
08:34It doesn't sound like he's as serious as you are.
08:38And I just want to make sure that you make sure that you're on the same page.
08:42At this point, I feel like we're in a good place.
08:46He's shown me, you know, that he's about this, that he wants to pursue this and see where it goes.
08:53I've been single for six years.
08:55And I felt like this was like a dead vault.
08:59And I feel things again.
09:01And I feel it because of him.
09:03As painful as it was to hear that Borja was seeing someone else,
09:08ever since we got back together, he's been more dedicated, more responsive.
09:13He says that he loves me.
09:15We talk about potential of marriage.
09:19So, I hope that this just ends up being a small little blip in our big story of love.
09:25And that things just keep getting better and better.
