Amy Rosenthal, co-founder of Colors for Kamala, presents the nail polish lines she created to support democratic candidate Kamala Harris's campaign ahead of the US election on November 5. One of the lines, 'Neutralizing the Name-Calling', is based on the insults used by Republican candidate Donald Trump. It's about "taking the sting out of the names" and "standing in solidarity with Vice President Harris as she's out front taking the hits for us," says Rosenthal.

00:00Wait, what is your name?
00:02Alana.
00:03Alana, I'm Amy.
00:04Nice to meet you, Amy.
00:05But we met when I was three and she was four.
00:09We lived across the street from each other.
00:11And it was really funny because we were like, no, that's all we do here.
00:21I can't believe we really do look like twins.
00:23I know. I mean, I can believe it.
00:27The first set is the Joyful Warrior, and that's actually where we started.
00:30And the colors of the rainbow represent the joy in the rainbow,
00:34but also all of the identities coming together to support Harris.
00:37The second and most obvious set is America the Beautiful,
00:41because when we all come together, it is beautiful.
00:45And the third set is Neutralizing the Name-Calling,
00:48and that's about sort of taking the sting out of the names that all women are called
00:53and sort of standing in solidarity with VP Harris as she's out front taking the hits for us.
01:15This kind of support works in locations that you can't show your support comfortably.
01:21And there are lots of women that those locations are not necessarily geography,
01:27they're home addresses, you know?
01:30So that's something that we were thinking about too.
01:33I can be walking down the street wearing bitch
01:37and knowing that there are many other women doing the same thing
01:41and feel totally fine and good about it and no one has to know.
01:52It's used to attack the other people, and it's a woman.
02:02Try not to laugh, it tickles.
