Coach denies spitting on UP player  De La Salle head coach Topex Robinson denied allegations that he spat on UP player Reyland Torres during their game on October 6, 2024 at the Mall of Asia Arena.   Speaking to the media on October 12 after La Salle beat UE, 77-68, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Robinson admitted shouting at Torres and apologized for it. 00:00I've really learned a lot and I just want to share with you where I'm at.

00:07I want to thank my friends from the media.

00:10I know that you have to do things because you need to do things because of your job.

00:17You know, you need to, for the social media people that needs to have likes,

00:25need to have followers, and has to do things.

00:29Even if I didn't make a statement and made those stories, I want to thank you.

00:36But I also want to thank my real friends in the media that respected my space,

00:43respected my silence, and didn't came out with any story that's not one-sided.

00:51I know who you are and I'll be forever grateful for you guys.

00:56And I'm just so fortunate that I have my Lasallian family, the team, the management,

01:07and all the people that came up to me and tried to support me because

01:13I'm also a human being.

01:15You judged me when you didn't come up with a true story.

01:22Of course, it's painful for me.

01:24But I'm just hoping that we don't go out and throw accusations because

01:34we are playing this game of basketball and we just want to enjoy it.

01:40I also want to thank the people that helped me.

01:50I've been watching some podcasts, Shoot First, really gave me a chance and it was just fair

01:59in giving their output, their decisions.

02:06I also have a lot of things to be thankful for.

02:10I also want to thank the people who shouted at me in Moa, Mrs. Villanueva,

02:17the people who humiliated me in front of my family, in front of the people who accused me.

02:23That's why I can't answer you because I really don't know you.

02:27I hope that when we meet, you will also have the courage to tell me that you accused me wrongly.

02:36And the people who called me a swatter, thank you so much because I really had a hard time

02:47and whatever I felt, I achieved it because I worked hard.
