La Salle loss to NU 'grounding' experience
La Salle head coach Topex Robinson says the Green Archers 54-63 loss to the NU Bulldogs at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion on Nov. 13, 2024 is good in a way that it grounds them after a 9-game winning streak. The Final Four-bound La Salle dropped to 12-2 but stayed atop the team standings.

00:00Well, there's a lesson in this loss. It's a good thing we lost now. You know, at least we kind of got this grounded.
00:10At least we know what works and what doesn't. You know, that 19 winning streak, what we did there, this loss that we had, what we did there.
00:20We're just going to make sure that we're not going to put our players in a situation to fail again.
00:27You know, that's our responsibility as their teachers. So, that's going to be good for us that this is going to be a long break.
00:34We could work on a lot of things, try to experiment again, as we always do, and just try to get better.
00:41This loss really grounded us and reminded everybody that if we're not going to come out as a united front, this is the result that's going to happen to you.
00:51What worked for us was our skills, our talents, but the combination of our system, that's really the key for us.
00:59So, we're just going to work on that.
