00:16Just this Saturday,
00:18a group of overseas Filipino workers from Lebanon
00:21returned to the Philippines via Saudi Arabian Airlines' SV862.
00:25And just yesterday,
00:27eight more Filipinos voluntarily repatriated came to the country.
00:31They are our fellow Filipinos who were trapped in the chaos between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
00:36Based on the latest report of the Department of Migrant Workers,
00:39450 OFWs from Lebanon have returned to the Philippines.
00:44Since President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. ordered the voluntary repatriation in Lebanon,
00:50a year has already passed.
00:52As of now, we have 266.
00:56266 in our booked commercial flights.
01:02Okay.
01:04And then,
01:06there are additional around,
01:12in our count, more or less,
01:14around 300.
01:16We still need to process 300 in Lebanese immigration.
01:26So 300 plus 266, that leaves us with around 566.
01:31We are sure that they are interested in moving from Lebanon.
01:35Of course, this is a fluid count.
01:37This evening, it will increase.
01:38Dependent upon how the DFA sees the political and security situation on the ground.
01:43So right now, it's alerted.
01:45Meaning, voluntary repatriation and total ban on departure.
01:49No OFWs are being processed in Lebanon.
01:52According to the DMW's conversation with Ambassador to Lebanon Raewon Balatbat,
01:56only 10 OFWs are in the area,
01:59severely affected by the war in southern Lebanon.
02:02We have 186 shelters,
02:05186 OFWs,
02:07and some overseas Filipinos,
02:12the Lebanese married ones also,
02:14about 15 of them in the shelter.
02:17But most of the 186 are OFWs.
02:20So, we have 3 shelters.
02:22And they are in good condition right now.
02:26So, 186 in our shelters.
02:27So, southern Lebanon,
02:29of course, the political security situation,
02:32we are dependent on the DFA,
02:34but we are still praying that the situation will improve.
02:39We know that there are still dangers.
02:41Almost 40 Filipinos will be returning to the country starting later tonight.
02:46Repatriated OFWs will receive P75,000 financial allowance from the DMW Action Fund,
