00:00So what are you guys studying for right now? English, especially because the paper's tomorrow.
00:07And so what's kind of your favourite study hack at the moment? What strategy are you guys thinking?
00:13I'm going to be honest, I have been just churning practice papers. This is probably like my fifth.
00:21So yeah, that's my tactic.
00:24How are you doing?
00:26I learned this, for English specifically, I learned this study hack of doing a skeleton method where you kind of put in your thesis and just your main points instead of writing out the whole thing, which saves a bunch of time.
00:38And I agree with that. Just making sure you've memorised your quotes by repetition and writing in red what you've missed so you sort of internalise it.
00:50When it's time to take a break from studying, what are your warning signs, if you do?
00:54When I feel sleepy, when I feel hungry and when I feel like I need water.
01:00Sometimes I get a notification on my phone and I look at my timer and I'm like, it's been going for a while, I'll look at TikTok for a bit.
01:11Whenever my body forces me to stop and also, I get an idea because I ask my friends how much they're studying so I make sure I don't overdo it.
01:21How much busier is the library in the lead up to the HSC?
01:26It's always busier and you can see it as the kids, or the youth, sorry they're not kids, as the youth start to really knuckle down for their trials and then for the gap in between and then they're heading into HSC.
01:44You see a lot of them coming in, potentially they don't have the space to be able to work at home or there are too many distractions at home.
01:54It's a nice place where they can come, it's safe, it's warm.
01:59Here at Wollongong we're open until 8.30 Monday to Thursday, which is fantastic, until 6 on a Friday.
02:07So they can come in after school and have this space where they can sit down and work together.
02:15They may work individually but then when they're taking those breaks, have that de-stress time, they can moan about all the work or work out how to get to where they need to be together.
