01:03all of her five children have not undergone a newborn screening.

01:08No one told me to undergo a newborn screening.

01:11So, I'm just like a companion.

01:14But experts say,

01:17it's important to undergo a newborn screening test

01:20within 24 hours.

01:23It's a 28-day-old disease that can be detected

01:26when a newborn is undergone a screening test.

01:29It's usually a case of mental retardation.

01:32And the worst part is,

01:33it can lead to the death of a child.

01:39Every first week of October,

01:41it's Newborn Screening Awareness Week.

01:47has created a newborn screening caravan

01:49by the Department of Health, Calabarzon, in Pililya.
