00:00Hello there. Welcome to your latest broadcast from the Met Office. Well, it'd be a much
00:04improved picture over the next 24 hours and we can see that on the bigger picture. We've
00:09got this brief ridge of high pressure giving some settled weather for many of us. However,
00:14it doesn't last long as the next set of Atlantic weather systems move in for Bank Holiday Monday,
00:20some wet and windy weather to come for many of us. So, looking at the picture this evening,
00:26Saturday evening, we've got cloud and showery rain across the eastern side of the UK, still
00:30some sharp showers embedded in that rain. Further west, we've got clear spells and as
00:35we head overnight, most of that rain pushes away and it means generally overnight, temperatures
00:41holding up 11, 12 degrees for many of us. So, not a cold start to Sunday morning, but
00:47quite a grey start for many of us, still some rain and drizzle across some eastern areas.
00:51Best of the sunshine initially across the west, but the cloud in the east should lift
00:55and break as we move through the morning and into the afternoon. But it could trigger
00:58a few sharp showers, one or two rumbles of thunder, but for many of us, plenty of dry
01:03weather to come. And in that sunshine, feeling quite warm, temperatures high teens to low
01:0820s, perhaps even 22 or 23 for one or two of us in the best of the sunshine, with generally
01:15light winds for all, just a little cooler where we still see some low cloud lap onto
01:19eastern coast of Scotland. And that low cloud into the evening may affect some eastern coast
01:24of England too. During the early hours, thicker cloud and showery rain pushes in from the
01:30west. This rain could be heavy at times, so temperatures again holding up in double figures
01:35to start Monday morning. So, wet and windy picture across the west first thing, some
01:39sunnier breaks first thing in the far south and east. But through the day, we'll see outbreaks
01:44of rain push north and eastwards. Some of this rain could be heavy at times, fairly
01:48brisk winds through the Irish Sea and then some very heavy showers following from the
01:54west as well. Best of the sunshine, the drier weather holding on across the far north of
01:58Scotland and perhaps across the far south east too. And in those sunnier breaks, we
02:03could see temperatures reach the mid to high teens, so generally a little lower compared
02:08to Sunday. So, the unsettled weather is likely to continue over the next few days after a
02:15fine Sunday. So, if you'd like more information on the weather where you are, you can visit
