00:00Hello, a very good morning to you. It's a chilly start out there this morning, but it
00:04will warm up because there are some sunny skies around, especially in the south and
00:09the west. But there's also going to be some cloud development and further showers will
00:15form. Just about anywhere could get a shower into the afternoon. However, the most frequent
00:20showers will affect northern, central and eastern England. Again, a few heavy downpours
00:25here away from the showers. Plenty of fine weather, still a cool breeze from the north.
00:30In fact, along the North Sea coast, 12 or 13 Celsius with a lot of cloud cover is going
00:36to feel quite unpleasant for June. But towards the southwest, lighter winds, 15 to 18 Celsius.
00:44If you're out of the breeze in the sunshine, not too bad at all. Now, into the evening,
00:50the showers will mostly fade away or at least become restricted to the coast. Clear spells
00:55will develop widely, especially towards the west and the south. One or two showers could
01:00keep going after dark. But otherwise, with lengthy clear spells and lighter winds compared
01:06with previous nights, temperatures will again dip into the single figures, mid-single figures
01:11in some shelter spots. So another fresh start to the day on Wednesday. But for Wednesday,
01:17a ridge of high pressure is building in from the west and that's going to do two things.
01:22It's going to kill off the showers in the west. It's also going to lead to a change
01:25in wind direction. But as we replace northerlies with westerlies on Thursday, we'll see Atlantic
01:32weather fronts arrive, bringing some spells of wet weather, followed later in the week
01:37by further showers. So Wednesday starts off bright, plenty of sunshine and we keep the
01:41largely dry and fine weather in the west throughout the day. There will be some cloud bubbling
01:47up but otherwise it's going to stay largely dry in the west. In the east, still some showers
01:52going, especially during the late morning, early afternoon period. They'll tend to fade
01:56away later. North-east Scotland also seeing thicker cloud and some showers along with
02:01that continued cool breeze. 12 or 13 Celsius in the north-east, 18, 19 further south and
02:07south-west where we see plenty of fine weather into the afternoon. But here's that area of
02:12rain I mentioned coming in for Thursday, a damp day for many places, before heavy showers
02:17on Friday and into the weekend. So the weather stays changeable but temperatures through
02:22the weekend will start to recover back towards average.
