01:51He weighed in at the Bantamweight limit of 118 pounds,
01:55a renowned undefeated former kickboxing world champion.
01:59He is undefeated in the boxing ranks

02:07Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome

02:12rising Bantamweight sensation.
02:15Introducing Tenshin Nasukawa!
02:26Once again, the referee and challengers,
02:27now to give instructions, Michiaki Soumeya.
02:45All right, that Asia-Pacific belt on the line tonight
02:48in this scheduled 10-rounder.
02:51The only fight in the last two nights on these cards
02:53that's not an official 12-round world championship fight,
02:56but of course, these belts do help you
02:58continue to move up in the rankings
03:00and get you in a position for a world title fight.
03:03Christina Poncher and Nico Aliwalsh on the call,
03:05and I'd like to welcome our friends watching
03:07on Sky Sports in the UK and Ireland.
03:09A pleasure to have you with us as we get started
03:11for our co-main event tonight.
03:15Tenshin Nasukawa with that bleach blonde hair
03:18with the white and gray trunks.
03:21Asilo, a fighter out of the Philippines
03:23with the white and blue gloves,
03:25and right away you see that Southpaw stance
03:27from the former kickboxing world champion.
03:31And you know, sometimes when these guys transition
03:33over to professional boxing, you know,
03:34their styles are awkward, they get squared off,
03:36they don't really know how to work the angles very well.
03:38Not the case with Tenshin Nasukawa,
03:40as he does eat a right hand there from Asilo.
03:42Asilo, yeah, Tenshin's been able to make
03:44a good transition, actually.
03:47You know, you wouldn't be able to tell
03:49that he has a background in kickboxing.
03:51You know, sometimes those guys, most times,
03:53they have a wider stance, which you see at times,
03:56but for the most part, he's very slick as a boxer,
03:59he's a counter puncher.
04:01And that same goes for Asilo, you know,
04:03I feel like it's gonna be a battle of the feints
04:05for the first couple rounds, you know,
04:06these guys are very reactive, they're quick movers,
04:09so you gotta do everything behind a feint.
04:12Asilo looking to land that rear right hand.
04:17And the jab is starting off strong for Nasukawa.
04:26And Asilo's looking for those heavy shots,
04:29you know, you can see that he's sitting more so
04:31on his punches than Tenshin is.
04:39Those jabs landing for Nasukawa.
04:53Nasukawa coming off a knockout victory
04:57in his last fight, July 20th in the third round.
05:00Prior to that, his opponent had retired on the stool,
05:02so he kind of got his first official
05:05knockout victory in his last fight,
05:07and he has two KO's on his record.
05:13Something that he's been looking for since his pro debut,
05:15he's like, he wants to feel what that knockout feels like,
05:18and he finally got that.
05:20Yeah, that's what every fighter's looking for.
05:25You know, and he's looking to find his rhythm right now.
05:27Oh, nice backhand lands for Nasukawa.
05:32Very good left hand.
05:35The southpaw lands the left hand again.
05:38Hand speed on display now, 15 seconds left in round one.
05:42And like I said, that was behind a feint.
05:45Everything's got to be behind a feint.
05:50Good start for Nasukawa.
06:05The new BYD Seal U DMI delivers up to 699 miles of range,
06:11thanks to BYD's super dual mode plug-in hybrid technology.
06:16So no matter the destination,
06:18you can spend time enjoying the miles,
06:21rather than counting them.
06:23Prices start from £33,205.
06:35Brought to you by Volterol.
06:37Look at that beautiful left hand.
06:40Just straight down the pipe.
06:44And you know, that happened from Asilo being off balance.
06:48He lunged forward with that shot,
06:51and when you're fighting a guy like Tenshin,
06:53you know, you can't make small mistakes like that.
06:58You've got to always be on balance.
07:05You know, Asilo actually has a bad habit
07:08of dipping his head over his front knee,
07:10especially when bulldozing forward with combinations.
07:14I saw that in some of his film
07:16when I was doing my homework on him.
07:19You know, it leaves him vulnerable for uppercuts.
07:24In that case, it was a left hand from Nasukawa.
07:27There he lands a straight right of his own, does Asilo,
07:30who, when he does let his hands go,
07:32he has some quickness with his combinations.
07:34But he does kind of get sometimes, like you said,
07:37leans over his front foot or kind of lunges forward
07:39instead of generating a lot of power from his base.
07:43Yeah, and he did it just there.
07:45You know, he did it there again.
07:46You know, he lunges forward with these shots.
07:49If Tenshin sat down and let an uppercut go,
07:54he wouldn't see it coming.
07:57Under two minutes here in round two.
08:02Strong jab there from Nasukawa.
08:09And you know, Nasukawa doesn't have great rhythm in his feet.
08:15You can tell he's a little flat-footed.
08:18But he makes up for that in his speed.
08:26A good counter there from Asilo.
08:29Stopped on a dime and then quickly countered with the right hand.
08:37Shot down to the body with the left hand from Nasukawa.
08:41That's what I'm talking about right there from Asilo.
08:44He gets a little too much ahead of himself,
08:47trying to rush these combinations coming forward.
08:52Nasukawa's going to catch on to that.
08:59Yeah, he's going to time him with the counter too.
09:09And you know, it's also if you pay attention to their feet,
09:13they're also battling for that outside position,
09:15being that they're in opposite stances.
09:22What do you have to deal with so much when you fight southpaw?
09:25You know, it's annoying fighting a southpaw.
09:28You've got to constantly make sure your feet are in the right position.
09:31And you're vulnerable to those left hands from southpaw,
09:35which he's gotten hit with, Asilo.
09:42But Asilo would have the advantage of being able to land that overhand right,
09:46or any right hands.
09:52Strong jabs there to end the round.
09:58Boxing on Sky Sports, brought to you by Voltirol.
10:28Or looked behind him.
10:33Boxing on Sky Sports, brought to you by Voltirol.
10:37Both of these rounds.
10:40Yeah, that was like I said, you're going to be battling for that outside foot position.
10:44The right hand's going to land for Asilo,
10:46and then the left hand's going to land for Nasukawa.
10:53All right, let's see if any adjustments can be made from Asilo here,
10:57as he's been kind of biting on these feints from Nasukawa.
11:01Nasukawa has been able to bait him in, land the straight left hand.
11:07Not a lot of work to the body for either fighter yet.
11:10Hasn't really needed to.
11:13He's been able to score up top, has Nasukawa.
11:18You know, and you find Asilo squaring himself up again,
11:21like I said, after those combinations, when he's trying to push forward.
11:25And I wonder if Nasukawa's going to catch on to that.
11:32And there's that lunging forward shot of Asilo.
11:36And that just leaves him so vulnerable for any counter, but specifically uppercuts.
11:42He's falling forward almost.
11:44Stepping in, there's landing a shot to the body, as I was talking about.
11:47There's that body shot, yeah.
11:49Working a little bit there to keep him a little more honest for Asilo,
11:52when he hops forward with his shots.
11:56Double jab right hand from Asilo.
12:02Nasukawa, very patient.
12:05And I've always thought, you know, when guys turn pro,
12:09sometimes it takes them a while to relax, settle in.
12:14This guy's been a fighter his entire life, although he wasn't a professional boxer.
12:18And it's really helped make a seamless transition.
12:20And just shows how disciplined that he is in learning a different discipline.
12:25How much he's improved in each fight.
12:28Takes his time, is calm.
12:31You know, we also can't forget that he did have an exhibition
12:35with one of the greatest fighters of our time.
12:38I don't think anybody forgot.
12:40Even though it didn't go his way,
12:44you learn a lot from being against someone like that.
12:50And you can see it.
12:52He's had all success since then.
12:55And it was a good right hook from tension.
13:02Yeah, when he started his kickboxing career at 15 years old,
13:05he ended with a record of 44-0 with 30 knockouts.
13:09So you definitely have been a proven winner.
13:14And that's all he's done as a pro fighter as well.
13:17A little over 35 seconds left here in round 3.
13:20Good body shot there.
13:23I mean, he actually relies a lot on his defense,
13:26his footwork with his defense, right?
13:28Hopping back with his feet more so than using his gloves or moving his head.
13:33And the only issue I would see with his defense right now, Natsukawa,
13:37is that he's going straight back.
13:40So if you combine that with Asilo trying to bulldoze forward,
13:45Natsukawa's going to get caught.
13:47Or better opposition.
13:48Right.
14:13What's wrong with the car?
14:14It's okay, lads. I'm with the AA.
14:18Bombay mix.
14:20Because the AA has more expert patrols across the country,
14:24you'll be back on the road in no time.
14:28No wonder more people choose the AA.
14:30Join today.
14:38Since the opening bell,
14:41we can see Natsukawa landing a lot of straight lefts to the body,
14:44which is great.
14:46But Asilo should be trying to slow him down a bit going to the body as well.
14:50And also no stool in the corner for Tenshin Natsukawa.
14:53Prefers to stand in between rounds.
14:55Yeah, that's interesting.
14:56You see a few fighters with that preference.
15:01That's always interesting to see.
15:06You prefer to take a seat in between rounds, don't you?
15:11Yeah, I feel like me personally,
15:13if I see my opponent not sitting between rounds,
15:15I feel like that's a slap in the face to me.
15:17Like, hey, you have to sit and I don't.
15:23Everything's very mental in boxing.
15:26Which is maybe part of the reason why some fighters do it.
15:30Yeah.
15:32There's also fighters get off the stool quickly
15:34and are just waiting for the opponent to come out of their corner,
15:37just staring him down.
15:38Shibuya Stevenson does that a lot.
15:39A hundred percent.
15:40Yeah, it's mental.
15:42You're getting that mental edge off them even during the breaks.
15:49Jab there for Natsukawa.
15:53How about doubling up on the jab?
15:58Right hand scores for Asilo there.
16:03Yeah, he looks a little bit more active this round, Asilo.
16:09There you go.
16:14Natsukawa also usually has some, you know,
16:18extracurriculars that he does in the ring when he fights.
16:21You know, showboating a bit, playing to the crowd a little bit.
16:24He's a big showman.
16:25Yeah, none of that so far in these first three rounds.
16:30I think we'll see that once he starts
16:33really getting the edge on Asilo.
16:36Right now showing respect for the undefeated Filipino fighter.
16:39Yeah, I mean, right now it's still a fight.
16:41It's, you know, they're both having, you know, good moments.
16:51That was a good sneaky right hand.
16:53I think Asilo maybe saw the referee starting to creep in,
16:56but Natsukawa continued to work.
17:01Scores with the left hand there.
17:04Natsukawa moving forward, taking his time.
17:10Misses there with a combination.
17:12The right hand scores on the way out.
17:15There's more of those feints you were talking about, Nikko.
17:17Yeah, and that works for Natsukawa every single time.
17:20You feint, you throw.
17:22That was a good right hand from Asilo, though.
17:24Yeah, he did a good job also getting his head off the line
17:26when he threw that right hand.
17:28He's feinting in his footwork, Natsukawa.
17:31He's doing a stutter step and then letting his hands go.
17:34But then it acts as a punch.
17:37And now Asilo's biting on it.
17:39Left hand to the body.
17:41Back up top with the jab.
17:43And a nice right hand there as well for Natsukawa.
17:46There's a bit of a dance.
17:50Asilo's got a lot of power.
17:52He's got a lot of power.
17:54He's got a lot of power.
17:57Boxing on Sky Sports.
17:59Brought to you by Voltarol.
18:02You're a vampire. We all are.
18:05Hide their music.
18:06We've wanted to live as normal a life as possible.
18:12Right, artists, turn your easels.
18:14Wow.
18:15Wow.
18:17I could cry.
18:19Do, it's really good for telling.
18:22Don't rehearse.
18:24Everyone on their A-game.
18:27Cut.
18:33Boxing on Sky Sports.
18:35Brought to you by Voltarol.
18:37You know, you will get caught going down on a straight line.
18:40You want to back out going laterally or at an angle.
18:44Which I haven't seen Natsukawa do yet.
18:51Round 5.
19:22Go.
19:24Those feints are active again from Natsukawa.
19:26He's going to continue to find success if he uses them.
19:35Asilo waiting, looking to counter.
19:38I mean, again, you see this a lot with two counter punchers.
19:41They're waiting for that shot.
19:42You can see them right here.
19:43They're both, you know, fighting for foot position.
19:47You got to fill those dead spaces.
19:49If you're Asilo, you know, you got to assume you're down on the
19:52cards right now.
19:54You got to fill those dead spaces with some sort of activity.
19:57You got to let your hands go a little bit.
20:01I think he's catching on to the hand speed of Natsukawa.
20:05I mean, not even willing to kind of throw some, just throw away
20:09jabs, some just pawing jabs, something.
20:11Anything, yeah.
20:14To get some offense generated for the Filipino fighter.
20:17You need to, but you know, I feel like, you know, it's the speed
20:21of Natsukawa that is slowing down Asilo, preventing him from
20:27throwing.
20:34And he gets knocked off balance there by a lead right hand from
20:39Natsukawa.
20:41Natsukawa heating it up now a bit, left hand to the body,
20:45doubling up on the jab, then throwing the straight left to
20:47the gut.
20:48He's staying consistent to that double jab, left straight to the
20:51body, Natsukawa.
20:57And it's landing.
20:58Yeah, again to the body.
21:00You know, you want to keep, you want to keep Asilo in the
21:04corner, if you are Natsukawa, like right here.
21:14And then he's scoring out well with that left hand.
21:19Just got to be careful backing out in a straight line.
21:23But that jab is so fast, Natsukawa.
21:33There he is, falling off balance again, Asilo.
21:37Almost landed the left hand there for Asilo, and now Natsukawa
21:40with the double jab.
21:43And again, Natsukawa.
21:45There he is, falling off balance again, Asilo.
21:48Almost landed the left hand there for Asilo, and at least
21:52he's trying to catch him and counter when Natsukawa throws.
22:06That was a good sneaky rack from Asilo there.
22:09I mean, if there's one area where Natsukawa can definitely
22:12improve, it's getting his head off the line, it's his defense
22:17that needs the most improvement in terms of, not necessarily
22:20his feet, but his head movement.
22:22Yeah.
22:23You know, especially if you're going up against a southpaw,
22:28you know, it's different angles.
22:32You got to just watch where you're throwing.
22:42Natsukawa's doing very good right now, though.
23:13Only two rounds, got the job done with a knockout in round 2,
23:17the fight before that, where he won the WBA Pacific Youth
23:20Bantamweight fight a full 10 rounds.
23:24We need that energy right now from Asilo.
23:30He definitely has to pick up the work rate if he's going to try
23:33to win this fight on the cards.
23:34Five rounds to none, he could be down at this point.
23:38Yeah.
23:40As a shot to the body lands for Natsukawa.
23:46And Asilo is just waiting far too much.
23:49He's waiting too much for the perfect shot.
23:51He's not going to find it with someone as slippery as Natsukawa.
23:58Strong jab there from Natsukawa.
24:01There's a one-two for Asilo.
24:04And right back comes the Japanese fighter, and Asilo holds.
24:10He needs to change up his punch selection a little bit, Asilo.
24:16He's landing that one-two at times, but that's the only
24:19combination he's been throwing.
24:30I mean, I wish I could hear what they were telling Asilo in the
24:33corner as far as game plan, because some adjustments
24:35definitely should be made at this point.
24:38Yeah, more than halfway through the fight.
24:41And there he goes with the right hand down to the body for Asilo.
24:44And then up top he lands the right hand.
24:47You've got to give yourself a chance.
24:51Oh, but that shot right there.
24:53I mean, just time that perfectly, did Natsukawa.
24:57Natsukawa's got a great stutter step in and out with his footwork.
25:02And like I said, he's a bit flat-footed, but it worked
25:06for his style.
25:08He's just so fast that he's able to get in and out like that,
25:12as you see right now.
25:16I like that turn.
25:17Even though that right hand didn't land fresh for Asilo, I
25:19like how he ducked under and came back with the shot there.
25:27And there at least using the jab, keeping it out there as a
25:29range finder.
25:30Asilo does go to attack with the left hand down to the body.
25:33Natsukawa looking to report the angle.
25:35Asilo rushing in.
25:3815 seconds left in round six.
25:40A shot to the body for Natsukawa.
25:42Natsukawa has his rhythm now.
25:46He's moving around Asilo.
25:50We're going to start seeing that showboating that you were
25:52talking about earlier.
26:01Natsukawa's looking even better now.
26:04He's finding that rhythm.
26:06He switched stance there and missed.
26:12He almost got caught by a big left hand from Asilo.
26:15We just need more and more activity from Asilo.
26:17Now, he's real tricky there with that head move, but that was
26:20good.
26:22But, you know, it's just too...
26:24It's not enough activity.
26:28We need more of that boom, boom, bang.
26:30He was just telling him right there.
26:33I mean, that's what I would say, too.
26:38We're going into round seven.
26:40He's got to do something.
26:42It could be...
26:46A shutout right now.
26:48It could be the boom, boom, boom that the one trainer said.
26:50The boom, boom, bang that the other trainer...
26:52I'm here for either one of them.
26:58Round seven.
27:02A little more action there in round six.
27:04You could tell that Natsukawa, especially towards the end of
27:07that round, had good rhythm.
27:09You could sense his confidence here growing with each and every
27:12round.
27:14He did get caught squared up a little bit, and that's kind of
27:17what we expect to see from a kickboxer, turnboxer.
27:20But he overall does a good job of not doing that, but there he
27:23got caught.
27:25Kind of squared up.
27:27He's landing those jabs at will.
27:33I like that Asilo's fainting.
27:35He's just not doing anything off of the feints.
27:51And also Natsukawa doing a good job cutting off the ring, too.
27:54Asilo's trying to circle to Asilo's right, which is kind of
27:57dangerous, obviously, to the strong hand of Natsukawa.
28:00But he did a good job stopping that movement.
28:03Some of the antics you were talking about that you thought
28:06we would see coming out now.
28:08Natsukawa's getting comfortable.
28:10Absolutely.
28:12You don't want to see that if you're Asilo.
28:23Does a good job getting out of harm's way there, and then
28:26delivers a left hand.
28:31Asilo almost timed a right hand.
28:33Natsukawa got a little bit away from that straight left to the
28:36body.
28:38Looking for that home run shot, as you mentioned, is Asilo with
28:41those big hooks upstairs.
28:47Great left hand from Natsukawa again.
28:50And there's a good combination right back for Asilo, and then
28:53Natsukawa holds.
28:57Asilo's been landing those right hands when he throws them.
29:04But Natsukawa's constantly in rhythm.
29:10Asilo's got a good combination.
29:12Asilo's got a good combination.
29:14Asilo's got a good combination.
29:17In and out with those jabs.
29:23They're using it to keep Asilo at bay.
29:25Natsukawa right now is just mastering his distance.
29:28Good right hand to the body for Asilo, who slips in that blue
29:31corner.
29:33But before that slip, he did land a good shot to the body of
29:36Natsukawa, a place that he hasn't gone to that often.
29:39Yeah.
29:47Natsukawa's waiting for him to do that move, that bulldoze
29:52forward.
29:58Asilo's doing that less because he's less active right now.
30:07He's throwing a lot less than what he was before.
30:11But there's that right hand.
30:13That's a shot that consistently lands for him.
30:16He's throwing the lead right.
30:21If I were his corner, I would say continue to throw that right
30:25hand, but build it off of the jab.
30:28And don't just throw it two or three times in the round.
30:32If you're finding success, continue to do it.
30:37You've got to assume he is not up on the scorecards right now,
30:40Asilo.
30:43Round 8.
30:55Round 8, the furthest that Tenshin Natsukawa has gone as a
30:59pro is an 8-round unanimous decision.
31:05So he finds himself in round 8 once again here, the schedule
31:0810 round fight.
31:14And Asilo has that rhythm, but it means nothing if you're not
31:17doing anything off of it.
31:22Natsukawa lands that straight left to the body again.
31:28And then doubles up with the jab up top.
31:31Asilo looks to throw a straight right hand.
31:35Again, just maybe setting up that right hand, which he scored
31:38a couple times with off the jab.
31:40I know when you have an orthodox and a southpaw fighter, the
31:43jabs sometimes get negated because those lead hands are
31:45both opposite in front.
31:48But it can still help him stay in rhythm and help him stay
31:51balanced on his shots.
31:53What do you think?
31:55Just stay active.
31:57Anything.
31:59But it seems like Asilo has abandoned that jab.
32:01When he does throw, he's throwing one punch at a time with
32:04the lead right.
32:06He hasn't been throwing his jab and he hasn't been throwing
32:09it to the body really at all.
32:12And it's going to be dangerous for him to just kind of lean in
32:15to reach for that right hand.
32:18And I want to see Natsukawa take advantage of that now.
32:21We're in round eight.
32:24Oh, there he goes.
32:26That's a good combination there for Natsukawa.
32:29Got Asilo stuck in the red corner.
32:34He was about to slip there.
32:37Then he turns that right hand to an uppercut and then finishes
32:41with the left hook.
32:43Asilo looking to go downstairs, chopping left hand from
32:45Natsukawa.
32:53One minute left here in round eight.
33:02Oh, good counter shot.
33:05And there's the showboating from Natsukawa.
33:07Even though Natsukawa kind of shakes it off, that was still a
33:10legit shot from Asilo.
33:15Yeah, that's the only shot that Asilo has landed really.
33:20The lead right.
33:23And that jab is working perfectly for Natsukawa.
33:30He's getting his confidence now.
33:32Natsukawa knows that he can throw really anything.
33:37He just doesn't respect Asilo's power at this point.
33:42And he's going to have to get his confidence back.
33:45He's going to have to get his confidence back.
33:48He's going to have to get his confidence back.
33:50He really doesn't respect Asilo's power at this point.
33:52He's not throwing enough.
34:08That was the perfect combination from Natsukawa.
34:11He landed that jab, got out of range, and landed a 1, 2.
34:14a one-two. That's when he's at his best when he's going in and out like that.
34:21Nasukawa. And then another thing, Nasukawa, fighters like Nasukawa, will be an
34:27absolute nightmare when you give them confidence. When they don't
34:32respect your power, when they don't respect your punches, and they start
34:36getting confident, they do their best. And that's where I believe Nasukawa is
34:41at right now. Asilo hasn't really showed much, and his confidence is growing
34:45every round.
34:52And for the first time in the young pro boxing career of Tencho Nasukawa, he
34:58sees round nine. Asilo and Nasukawa meeting with the lead jab, hands here to
35:06start round nine. Nasukawa circling away from the right hand of Asilo, which
35:12has been his best weapon tonight, albeit far and few between. I'm sure his corner
35:20said something about that, because it is clear that Nasukawa is going more
35:25towards the right this round. Nasukawa's right. Yeah, Nasukawa's right.
35:30Because that's the only shot that Asilo has landed. The right hand, as he tries to
35:38land it right there.
35:44I think that was a slip. Asilo is claiming that it was as well, but nonetheless a
35:49knockdown is going to be scored here in round nine for Nasukawa.
35:56I hope Nasukawa takes advantage of that.
36:02Showing a bit of patience here, as we'll get a couple looks at that once the
36:09round is over, but for now a knockdown scored. Being very patient Nasukawa.
36:17That was a good shot from Asilo, that right hand. It was, and it was partially
36:21blocked by the glove of Nasukawa, but it was a hard shot. It actually moved the
36:25body of Nasukawa there. As Nasukawa answers with a left hand and a good
36:30combination there from Nasukawa.
36:38He's got to be careful jumping in like that, Nasukawa. Especially because if
36:43Asilo's coming forward with the way he punches, there's going to be inevitably a
36:47clash of heads.
36:50The crowd getting more into the fight now. A minute left in round nine. The pace
36:56picking up a bit here.
37:01Doubling up on the jab and Asilo looking once again to land the right hand.
37:07Asilo hasn't landed really any jabs. I believe that's why he stopped throwing
37:12Nasukawa's just so slick with his head movement.
37:19Back to the stick. 30 seconds left to work here in round nine. He's got Asilo on
37:30the ropes. Yeah, dangerous spot for Asilo to be. Yes. And a shot grazes the back of
37:37the head of Asilo there. Yeah, and he's feeling that. 10 seconds left here in
37:43round nine.
37:47As they both throw caution to the wind, absolutely.
37:57And let's take a look at that exchange from earlier in the round, which was
38:03counted as a knockdown for Nasukawa. Yeah. And a left hand went down to the
38:08body, kind of just swung wildly. He's actually, his left ankle kind of gave out.
38:12If you look, he kind of moves out. You can't really see his, you can't see
38:17his feet here. But again, you know, that was from that swinging wild that
38:24just puts you in such a vulnerable position that, you know, if Nasukawa
38:29cowered him there, it could have hurt him.
38:34And we could give you one more look at it. If you look at the feet of Asilo as
38:40they step in, his foot and the right foot of Nasukawa, they kind of knock
38:44together and then he goes down. Yeah, he could have rolled his ankle there. Which
38:51is why Asilo was, you know, trying to plead his case as he wants a hug from
38:57Tenshin before they start round 10. That's always good. Is it? No.
39:11All right, there's the right hand from Asilo. That's a good start. Yes, he's got to be,
39:15just this entire round has to be throwing shots. There's another one. I
39:24believe we're gonna see Asilo get more careless with his punches and leaning
39:28over his front knee. Like I've been saying, Nasukawa should really capitalize
39:33off that. He's gonna get careless this round.
39:39You would expect more of a sense of urgency from Asilo. Yeah, definitely at
39:57this point, needing a knockdown to win this fight. If the judges see it, how the
40:03rest of the world is seeing this fight. It's been pretty much domination from
40:08Pillar to Post from Tenshin Nasukawa. Aside from some... Oh gosh, there's that headbutt that you
40:15had mentioned. I'm not trying to jinx it, but it was kind of inevitable with this,
40:20the way that Asilo comes forward. No, it is. Especially, you know, Southpaw to
40:26Orthodox and then there's one guy's coming forward. Good thing it happened in
40:32the last round. The last two minutes of the fight. Yeah, and he gets caught with the
40:37left hand there. A punch that hasn't landed for Asilo much in this fight. He
40:40hasn't really used that lead hand very much, but what's unfortunate about that
40:45cut for Nasukawa is, he's trying to get in one more fight before possibly the
40:50end of the year. That's gonna sit him out for a bit.
40:54Oh, big shot there for Nasukawa. Trying to get the finish in under a minute left to go in the fight.
41:00Beautiful right hook from him. Combination punches from Nasukawa.
41:11He's probing that jab out, getting his distance, Nasukawa. Doing some work once again in that red corner.
41:19A little bit of she-shine from Nasukawa.
41:2330 seconds. I think Asilo's looking for the clock too.
41:29Yes, that's exactly what he was doing.
41:32Left hand lands for Nasukawa.
41:38Nice right hand lands for Asilo there. Misses wildly. Nasukawa makes him pay.
41:457 seconds left.
41:48Oh, that was a beautiful shot landed from Nasukawa though.
41:51He would have loved to get the stoppage in this one, but instead he goes the full 10 round distance
41:56for the first time as a professional.
42:02And a cut to boot.
42:12What's crazy is how immediately quiet it gets too.
42:15Yeah, they're just very respectful over there. They wait for the decision to be read.
42:20Yeah, all of a sudden it's like silence as we go to the scorecards.
42:23And there's the clash of heads there where it almost looked like Asilo had that rear hand brought him in
42:28to where Asilo was against the ropes and that caused that cut.
42:31That's such a sensitive spot on the face that it doesn't take much.
42:36And that's what happened in the first fight tonight with Anthony Alaskagwa.
42:43And I have more on that in between the next fight.
42:49An update from Japan as we await the scorecards here.
43:04Should pretty much be a shutout here for Tenshin Nasukawa.
43:07Also knocked down, scored in round 9.
43:10Could you really find a round in that fight to give to Asilo?
43:13No. I wish, but no.
43:23One judge from Japan, one judge from Thailand, one judge from the Philippines.
43:29So a judge from each of the fighters' home countries and then a neutral judge from Thailand.
43:39Ladies and gentlemen, after 10 rounds of action, the judges are in agreement.
43:50We have a unanimous decision. Here are the score totals.
43:54Judge at ringside, Edward Liga, scores about 97 to 92.
43:59Judge Yoshida seized about 98 to 91, agreeing with Judge Surat Soikrachang, scoring about 98 to 91.
44:08All three in favor of the winner, he is now the WBO Asia Pacific Bantamweight Champion, Tenshin Nasukawa!
44:22And the unanimous decision victor tonight...
