00:00A tricycle driver in Taytay, Rizal was arrested for assaulting a woman he met online.

00:13The suspect refused to give way and said that it was someone else who committed the crime.

00:19Here is the first news of EJ Gomez.

00:21In the visa of the arrest warrant, this man was arrested by the police while the tricycle was moving in Barangay San Juan in Taytay, Rizal last Friday.

00:34The 32-year-old accused is facing three counts of rape.

00:38According to the police, the assault in Taytay happened in 2013 and the arrest warrant was issued in 2015.

00:46He was just arrested after he hid. Maybe he thought that he had nothing to do with the case or that he wouldn't be recognized.

00:53That's why he was driving a tricycle.

00:59Based on the investigation, the victim was 21 years old and was identified as an online accused.

01:06They chatted. They met through social media and then our victim from Quezon City decided to meet up here in Taytay.

01:19So this victim filed a case. Allegedly, he was raped three times by our suspect.

01:29The man refused to give way.

01:31It's not true, ma'am. Nothing happened to us.

01:35What did you do?

01:37I just introduced myself to my parents and then we went home.

01:41He also said that the woman was drunk, but he didn't do it.

01:47We were drinking and I didn't know that my friend had plans with a woman.

01:55I got drunk. When I woke up, I went to the bathroom and I saw them kissing.

02:03The accused is currently in jail at the custodial facility.
