00:00Right, one of the things that I really want to see out of this inquiry is that we don't see
00:08the immediate increase that has been proposed. The inspector must listen to local people.
00:14A lot of my former constituents, I'm the former MP, are being penalised and being taxed an extra
00:23simply for going to work or visiting the hospital, whilst we're not really seeing much from the
00:31joint committee on saving money. So I think it's about time we started to see a housekeeping
00:38exercise in place and they realise that you don't just have a magic money tree in the form of the
00:47constituents in South East Cornwall. So I don't want to see this increase. In the longer term,
00:53I would like to see national government take back control and fund the bridge from the road tax.
01:00That's something I called for in Parliament when I was the Member of Parliament
01:05and it's something that I will continue to support.
