00:00All of us recognise the horrendous scale of the civilian casualties in the region.

00:05Would the Minister agree with me that what the government needs to do is to try and unite international opinion

00:10in getting the remaining hostages released and dealing with the terrorist threat of those who want to annihilate all Israelis?

00:21The government has been seeking precisely to work globally and with countries in the region to de-escalate

00:28to ensure that civilians are protected.

00:31And absolutely this UK government recognises Israel has the right to defend itself

00:37but we must see a future where ultimately we have a two state solution

00:41and most immediately we must see a ceasefire both in Gaza and in Lebanon as well.
