Despite millions being put into improving cycling infrastructure around Cardiff, a recent survey has found it is among the most feared cities in the UK to cycle. The capital ranks as number 5 on the list, with almost half of people too scared to ride their bikes in the city.

00:24be in vain as roughly half of people think it's too dangerous to cycle around Cardiff
00:28and would prefer to drive or use other modes of transport.
00:34Cardiff ranks fifth around the UK in most dangerous cities with 52% of respondents saying
00:39they don't feel safe cycling in Cardiff, with Sheffield taking the top spot at 62% of people
00:44saying they find it unsafe.
00:48Cardiff Council have said that they are dedicated to improving cycling infrastructure and are
00:52on stage 1 of 6 of their cycleways plans to build more miles of cycle paths in the city.
