00:23all about Newbury and its history and the particular thing about Newbury's history
00:28is the charter which was given to Newbury in 1596 by Queen Elizabeth I and in that
00:36charter there are two important things that it says that Newbury can do. The first most
00:43important thing is that we can have a mayor and here I am four and a half centuries later
00:50and the second most important thing we can do is have a fair and here is the Nevertheless
00:58Fair and it's our real delight to declare it open this year.
