00:00So what do you think of all the plans to build hundreds of homes around Thatcham in the future?
00:04I think it's a shame because it will change Thatcham from being
00:07a sort of village into a sort of major town and we haven't got enough structure,
00:12doctors, schools, all those things, yeah.
00:15Well I think it's bad because the doctors and schools really can't cope with it all here.
00:21I think it's all right actually because they need more houses, you know what I mean?
00:25It's people are struggling to get council houses into ordinary houses so I think it's a good idea.
00:32It also means the Cold Ash village will have all the cars either going up the Cold Ash hill to go
00:37to the M4 which changes that from a small village, it'll be very busy and the A4 will be busy.
00:43It's going to be a nightmare, it's just going to be a nightmare.
00:45So in terms of new facilities for the town,
00:46what would you like to sort of see over the next 10 years?
00:48More doctors surgeries, just probably more schools, just more facilities for
00:55things for people to do, the young people to do and just things like that really.
