00:00Good news for those who are not yet regular employees of DSWD

00:05because up to 5,000 regular positions will be opened for those who want to be permanent.

00:13What are the qualifications? Let's find out in the words of Noel Talacay.

00:19The employment status of Venus in the Department of Social Welfare and Development of DSWD is a contract of service.

00:27For her, it's important to be regular in her work for her future.

00:32For me, it's more like you have security when you're already regular, unlike COS.

00:38Although the salary grade is high when you're in COS, it's okay for me because I'm still young.

00:44But it's still different when you're already regular.

00:47Her story is that even before she entered or applied in some government offices,

00:51her documents are already ready, such as civil service eligibility, to apply for a regular position in the government.

01:01Venus is just one of the thousands of DSWD employees who are eager to become regular employees of the so-called agency.

01:10The Department of Budget and Management of DBM recently announced that it will open 4,000 to 5,000 regular positions for DSWD.

01:21DSWD is not happy with this news because the agency has been hiding the regularization of our contractual positions personally for a long time.

01:37DSWD is just waiting for official documents from DBM to start posting regular positions of their agency as part of the recruitment process,

01:51which also includes the qualification of an applicant for her ability to apply for a position in the agency.

02:02Of course, it depends on the qualifications that are set, accompanying the positions that will be given to us.

02:11Because each item has what we call CBJD, the competency-based job description.

02:19So if they're asking for a position, that's what the prospective applicants need to meet.

02:28This is open to everyone, based on the data of DSWD, more than 18,000 are their contract of service and job orders employees.

02:40DSWD Assistant Secretary Dumlao also indicated that they are working on a way to speed up the process and lower the approved regular positions of their agency.
