00:00Two weeks ago, short week Thursday night football as the
00:06Giants hosted the Cowboys, Malik Nabors had a very promising
00:09first three quarters and then was knocked out of the game
00:12with a concussion against the Cowboys. We have not seen him
00:15since that point. Back on the practice field for the first
00:19time for the G-Men yesterday in a red jersey, non-contact. He
00:24has made progress. He still remains in protocol but the
00:28Giants are optimistic and they are hoping that he takes the
00:31next step for tomorrow, maybe being a full participant
00:35tomorrow, being today at practice for New York. The
00:39Giants host the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in MetLife,
00:43Philly, a three-point road favorite. Yeah, it'd be great
00:46to get some of your best players back on the field. Also,
00:49they lose their left tackle, which is a devastating injury,
00:51but you do want to be preached patience. I was joking to
00:54open the show. Hey, look, miss another week, help the
00:56Philadelphia Eagles out. That's all fine and good, but we
00:58got to be honest and have a conversation about what Malik
01:00Nabors is going to mean to the New York Jets, their team
01:03over the next five to six years. The worst thing you want
01:06is for him to come back and we're not saying it's going
01:08to be malpractice, like the doctors cleared him when they
01:10shouldn't have. They're being prudent. They already sat him
01:12the extra week. They're trying to get him to go through
01:14the protocols and if he's medically cleared, technically
01:16he should play, but it's one of those where it's like, all
01:18right, we're going nowhere this year and maybe if we give
01:21him an extra week off or even an extra two weeks off just
01:24to make sure this clears out. He's 1000% healthy and ready
01:28to return. He's focused and ready to go because the last
01:30thing you want is him to play a game against the Philadelphia
01:33Eagles in a season for the Giants that will go nowhere to
01:35get two concussions right off the bat. And then you're
01:38starting to talk about the long-term ramifications like
01:41we keep bringing up to a tag of Aloha and when he's going
01:43to return as a key and integral part of the Miami Dolphins.
01:46That's all. I'm just overcautious in situations where
01:48the team is going nowhere. You have a flat-out superstar
01:52probably over the next decade in the NFL. If he stays
01:55healthy, just don't ruin that man. Like the Giants fans.
01:57I don't know how much more they can take but if neighbors
02:00goes back on the field this weekend and suffers another
02:02concussion right away. That's just a doomsday franchise
02:05at this point.
