The HS2 rail line extension that was ditched by Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party may still become a reality, as indicated by Local Transport Minister, Simon Lightwood MP. If the decision were to be reversed, the line would travel from London Euston to Crewe,, allowing the high-speed rail to connect the West Midlands to Crewe, despite concerns over rising costs and delays. The previous administration, which had scrapped the line beyond Birmingham. Labour leaders have discussed funding challenges and the possibility of handing management to a private consortium.

00:32legislation put forward in government already, that we absolutely recognise that transport is
00:39an essential part of delivering economic growth. It's something we're actively
00:43considering at the second, and of course we'll release more information in due course.
