00:00a fan duel. I mean some big numbers coming in in terms of downloads from them as they're leading
00:04the way getting the most downloads this NFL season for people betting on sports. I don't
00:09think that's a huge surprise because DraftKings Sam is very close but I was surprised to see that
00:14the third most app downloaded was Hard Rock and with the limited availability that you can bet
00:20on the Hard Rock app it tells me how valuable that commodity is here in Florida. Yeah definitely
00:26Craig. The big note there is Hard Rock jumping all the way up to third place behind FanDuel
00:31and DraftKings. FanDuel has about 28 percent of the market you see there on your screen
00:35with 1.5 million downloads this season. DraftKings not far behind but Hard Rock jumping in
00:42right after they obviously went live last year in Florida so it's been a huge state for them.
00:49They've been open to to working with other brands in the space so it just goes to show you how
00:54valuable it's been but then you have the other apps like Fanatics like ESPN Bet the Newcomers
01:00sort of struggling to kind of break into that top five. Pretty notable that Caesars has dropped all
01:05the way down to eighth place so it's going to be an interesting rest of the season. It's kind of
01:10just FanDuel and DraftKings leading the way right now but the good news for the industry overall is
01:16that downloads are up 16 percent on the year and they were up 16 percent last week for the season
01:22as well so it's really interesting to see more people downloading the apps even with states not
01:29legalizing you know we didn't we haven't had a new state launch in a while California or I'm
01:34sorry North Carolina was the last one there's none really on the horizon maybe you have Missouri in
01:39the future maybe South Carolina but those are years away and who really knows so you're seeing
01:44the sports books now focus on making sure their customers are more profitable you're seeing that
01:50with a ton of parlays being marketed towards them and you're also seeing it with the promotional
01:54spend I think it's really notable that you still have all this growth right when the promos are
02:00actually dropping off and they're not giving out the huge uh five thousand dollar deposit matches
02:05like they did in years past FanDuel actually talked about that in their recent investor day
02:10it's about sending promos to sort of the right people figuring out which customers promos are
02:15a really good return uh on investment on and figuring out who not to uh to send them to someone
02:21who maybe goes and downloads the app and okay now I'm done with I'm gonna move on to the next book
02:25so uh interesting to see all this growth despite the state's slowing despite despite the promos
02:31falling off and all the newcomers in the space sort of shaking it up as well so it'll be really
02:36interesting to see um you know throughout this football season it's obviously the biggest time
02:40of year for the sports books kind of where this goes I'd imagine FanDuel and DraftKings stay on
02:45the top and then you have these other sort of Hard Rocks, Fanatics, ESPN Bet trying to gain
02:49more of a foothold as the year goes on.
