00:00Kamala Harris in the lion's den who's kind of how some people felt this interview would be in
00:05It did not disappoint. No, she sat down with went did an interview with Fox News Brett Baer
00:12Sat down with him yesterday. The interview went about 30 minutes
00:15Although seemed like there were a lot more questions that Brett Baer wanted to get right
00:20He said that her team was waving at him off saying shut it down shut it down
00:25But they got this got very contentious there's a lot of talking over each other
00:31Each trying to get their points out
00:33Here is just a portion of it that got very tense the first bill
00:39Practically within hours of taking the oath
00:41Was a bill to fix our immigration system. Yes, ma'am. It was called the u.s. Citizen Citizenship Act of
00:482021
00:50I'd wait a citizen
00:53May I finish responding for you, but you have to let me finish you had the White House and the House and the Senate
00:58I'm in the middle of responding to the point you're raising and I'd like to finish this man
01:04If you listen to Donald Trump if you watch any of his rallies
01:07He's the one who tends to demean and belittle and diminish
01:12The American people he's the one who talks about an enemy with any within an enemy within
01:18Talking about the American people
01:21Suggesting he would turn the American military on the American people
01:26Yeah, Wow, it continued like that through most of the interview with them
01:30Trying look this is I mean as I'm watching this as I'm saying imagine Donald Trump doing an interview on MSNBC
01:37Yeah, it would be very much the same way
01:40and I think what you have to remember here is that Brett Baer is trying to
01:45Put questions out and pose them in a way that their audience right a largely conservative reality is most of the answer can vote for
01:51Trump and so he's trying to get those points out, but she of course is trying to get I think I think they are opposing
01:58So they both talk the entire time. I think Charles if you're a Trump person you say a
02:03She you know, she wilted and she didn't answer the questions
02:05And if you're a common person, she went in there lions, then she stood up to a high-pressure interview
02:10So I think both sides are probably happy
02:12Well, what's interesting is a lot of the criticism of Kamala has been that she has only done softball interviews
02:18She's been up there with Oprah and fielding softball questions able to stick with her talking points and here she was in enemy territory
02:24This was on Fox News. So she was getting more pointed questions
02:27I thought she handled it pretty well, but it did feel tense and awkward
02:30Yeah, exactly the tense and awkward good words to describe it and again
02:35I was gonna say like you have to give her some credit for actually sitting down
02:39Look did did it move the needle at all? Probably not anything moves the needle
02:44But the fact that she did it you got to give her some credit for that. And here's the one thing
02:48How can you imagine that? Let's just say yeah, I read and yeah
02:52No, it would be hard down. It would be hard to imagine. Yeah, I think I think the question what's the motivation?
02:58Is it because there's panic in the campaign or did she hear people want to hear more from her and here I am
03:03I don't know. I
03:05Think it's it's so neck-and-neck. I mean, it's a toss-up
03:08It is a toss-up and what you're trying to do is maybe she's thinking that there are some conservative
03:14voters who are undecided right don't necessarily want to vote for Trump, but they're
03:19Uncomfortable right thought of voting for a Democrat
03:21That's exactly what it but she's trying to reach those people and has been touting the fact that there are a lot of
03:26Republican officials and elected officials something she brought up to her siding with her
03:31I think that's absolutely right
03:32And she's also trying to blunt the criticism that she's been receiving that they're protecting her from the media by only putting her in
03:37front of
03:38Friendly audiences so she wanted to address that concern head-on and and whether it was effective or not is your call
03:43But that's what I'm trying to do. We'll find out in less than three weeks
03:49I enjoyed this interview because Fox typically leans towards Donald Trump
03:53But this gave VP Harris the opportunity to show what her campaign campaign really means
03:59And as the next new generation says she pretty much clapped in the whole time
04:04Being her own fact-checker during interview, and it was great to see
04:08And I hope this helped the American people
04:12Figure out who they want to vote for
