00:22There are African American women who know a little bit about being talked down to,
00:28and know a little bit about having their economic dreams crushed,
00:32who tried to dream a big dream over the past couple months.
00:36And tonight they're trading in a lot of hope for a lot of hurt."
00:40He continued, and they were hoping that maybe this time,
00:43one of their own could be seen as worthy.
00:45And once again, they're facing rejection. And that hurts.
00:48Jones went on to say that Black women who supported Harris are not the only ones hurting.
00:52If you're a parent of a trans kid,
00:56your child's face was used as a springboard to power for somebody. That doesn't feel good.
01:02Jones also spoke about immigrants, saying in part,
01:05they're going to be people who are going to be cleaning your teeth tomorrow,
01:08who don't have papers, and they are terrified tonight.
01:11And so it's easy to blow this off. Oh, look at the elite. They're going to get their comeuppance.
01:14It's not the elite that's going to pay the price.
01:17It's people who woke up this morning with a dream and are going to bed with a nightmare.
01:22He concluded by saying,
01:24and those people deserve to be respected and held and talked to.
01:27Those are the people who are going to pay the price of whatever Donald Trump decides to do.
