The leader of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, Yahya Sinwar was killed by Israel on Wednesday night in the Gaza Strip. The organization confirmed Sinwar's assassination during confrontations alongside his fighters in the Tal Al-Sultan area of Rafah. Israeli authorities made the claim earlier on Thursday, which was then backed by an address from prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
