00:00Hundreds take to the streets of Tel Aviv, urging the Israeli government to make good
00:10on its promise to bring hostages held in Gaza back home.
00:14It comes after Palestinian militant group Hamas said it was halting the release of remaining
00:20Israeli captives, saying Israel is violating a ceasefire agreement, a long-awaited result
00:27after 15 months of war.
00:29You see the situation, they're dying there, and their blood is on this government's hands.
00:36I'm not expecting anything from Hamas.
00:39I mean, it's not like I care how much and how they behave and how they react.
00:45I'm here because my government is failing to fulfill their duty.
00:50Returning from an official visit to Washington, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's
00:55address to his parliament was interrupted several times, as opposition lawmakers grew
01:01angry, saying the leader was letting hostages die in Gaza.
01:06Meanwhile, Netanyahu detailed his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump, saying Trump
01:18presented a quote, new revolutionary idea for Gaza.
01:23Trump has proven to be a wild card in Israel and Hamas' already fragile ceasefire deal.
01:29He's proposed a U.S. takeover of Gaza and displacement of its residents, a plan criticized
01:36by much of the international community.
01:39Trump has advised Israel to call off the ceasefire if Hamas does not release the remaining hostages
01:45as planned.
01:46I'm speaking for myself.
01:48People can override it.
01:50But from myself, Saturday at 12 o'clock, and if they're not, if they're not here, all hell
01:56is going to break out.
02:00As the risk of resumed conflict in Gaza looms, fears are also mounting over Trump's vision
02:08for the enclave.
02:09The U.S. president has contradicted his own aides by saying Palestinians that live in
02:14Gaza would not have the right to return under his plans.
02:19The obvious solution here would be a Palestinian state living side by side with an Israeli
02:24state.
02:25But the far right has always had a fourth option in mind, get rid of the Palestinians.
02:30And suddenly that's what Trump is endorsing.
02:32That's what Trump is legitimizing, even though this would be a blatant war crime.
02:37The stakes and emotions remain high as the ceasefire in Gaza hangs in the balance.
02:43But on top of the threat of war restarting, an uncertain future for the land and the people
02:50who call it home.
