00:00Okay, the office tour that no one asked for.
00:06Hey, how's it going?
00:07Dave 2D here and this is a tour of my office.
00:10Now this isn't my studio, this isn't where I shoot my YouTube videos normally, it's actually
00:13my home and this is like the office space in my house.
00:16Now it's a very small space, this isn't like glamorous or anything like that, and it's
00:21very functional.
00:22I didn't curate this scene to make it look extra cool or anything, this is literally
00:26how I work.
00:28Originally this room was meant to have two setups, one for my wife and one for myself,
00:33but because I just have so much crap, it ended up being my office.
00:37So right now we have two setups, let's start off with this one over here.
00:41This is the Mac setup.
00:43I would say that this is the one that I use the most frequently when it comes to working
00:49on YouTube stuff, just because I like the Mac OS system for just my personal use.
00:54So we have the 10-core Mac Pro, this is a 2013 Mac Pro, I would love to use the iMac
00:59in here, but it's just way too expensive to really justify the cost for myself.
01:04And the big reason for me is I much prefer the widescreen stuff when it comes to content
01:09creation.
01:10It's really difficult for me to switch from something wide like this to a regular 16 by
01:159 panel that you see on the iMac Pro.
01:17This is running a 10-core CPU, 64 gigs of RAM, and we have your standard kind of Mac
01:21input devices, the Apple keyboard, Apple trackpad, and actually this is not the Apple mouse,
01:27this is the Logitech MX Anywhere 2S.
01:30Great mouse, and this is something that is just really clean, really simple, gets the
01:33job done.
01:34Now in terms of the accessories that I use with this thing, I don't have speakers on
01:39this thing.
01:40So this monitor, the LG 38UC99, fantastic monitor.
01:44It has speakers built in, so I often use that, but if I need something that's a little more
01:47private, I use AirPods with this particular setup, and we have a Boost Ball for people
01:54that know anything about Adidas Boost, and then we have just a standard 4 gigabyte backup
01:58drive that I use.
02:00This is a Bluetooth speaker from Nixon.
02:02Not particularly great, but I got it for free, I like it, so I use it, and that basically
02:07wraps up this area.
02:08Nope, there's one last thing.
02:09It's the Belkin wireless charging pad, which I use if I'm using the iPhone X in this area.
02:15The tables or desks, whatever you want to call these things, they are from West Elm,
02:19I forget the name.
02:20I'll find the link and put it in the video description.
02:22I'll link all this stuff in the video description if you guys are interested.
02:25Okay, moving along, we have the PC setup.
02:28Now I purposefully chose to cripple my PC setup.
02:33People that follow my channel know that I lack self-control when it comes to playing
02:36games, so this thing is a powerful PC for video editing, but the thing is, those devices
02:41are often very good for playing games, and I feel like if I had gaming peripherals, this
02:45thing would not be used for work very much.
02:48I would just be playing games all the time.
02:50What I've done is actually have a wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse, and these peripherals
02:54are actually great for just regular work and productivity, but they're not ideal for playing
02:58games, and when I do play games, I don't try to play competitively on these.
03:02This is the Drivo caliber keyboard, great wireless keyboard, RGB backlighting with switchable
03:07keycaps, and these are the cyan keycaps from GMK, and we have the MX Master 2S mouse.
03:12So these devices are great for productivity, just what I want to do with this thing, but
03:16they aren't perfect for competitive gaming.
03:19So the mousepad is a SteelSeries white mousepad, and the PC itself, if you've seen my older
03:25video on the Hypebeast Supreme PC, this is that machine, but I've stripped the red paint
03:29because it was just getting a little too obnoxious, and again, I did that PC for fun, I'm not
03:33like huge on Supreme, but it's cleaned up a little bit.
03:37There are some parts that I couldn't remove the paint as cleanly, but I really like this
03:40case, it's the low-key Ghost S1 case, and I just decided to use that for this particular
03:45setup.
03:46Okay, the monitor is an Alienware 34-inch curved screen.
03:49The reason why I'm using this monitor is that it's 120Hz G-Sync, it's a fantastic gaming
03:53monitor, but it's also one of the few gaming monitors that are super, super color accurate.
03:57This thing's basically as color accurate as any monitor that I own for content creation.
04:01So to round up this area, we have a backup drive, this is the Seagate 8TB drive.
04:05I really like this thing, one cable, no AC adapter, the USB-C plugs up right into your
04:10PC or your laptop or your Mac, whatever, and single cable backup.
04:15PS4, which I occasionally use, input into this thing, and this is, I've never actually
04:20done a video on this thing, but this is the MidiFighter 64 from DJ Tech Tools, you've
04:24probably seen videos from like Sean Wasabi that have done some crazy stuff with this.
04:28I picked this up to just have fun with it and potentially make some music for intros
04:32and stuff like that, but I haven't gone around to doing much with it yet.
04:35Okay, if you'll notice, neither of these setups actually have speakers, so I'm actually
04:40running wireless headphones on both, so you saw the AirPods on that, and this one I'm
04:44running the B&O wireless headphones, which I use for video editing and some casual gaming.
04:48It's some nice wireless headphones.
04:50Okay, moving along, did I forget anything here?
04:53No.
04:54Okay, moving along, backpack, I'll probably do a video, like a what's in my backpack video
04:58in the future, but moving on to this side, so this area here is where I do my charging,
05:03I guess.
05:04It's not really a charging area, but I just place my phones here and other devices that
05:08need to be charged.
05:09So the phones I'm using right now, we have the Pixel 2 XL, the OnePlus 5T, and the iPhone
05:14X.
05:15Now if I had to choose one that I use the most frequently right now, it's probably the
05:18iPhone X, just because my family and friends, most of them are on iOS.
05:22We have batteries, so the battery packs that I'm using right now are Anker battery packs.
05:26This isn't sponsored or anything, they're literally the ones that I've purchased both
05:28of these.
05:29They're both pretty beefy, one's 20,000 milliamps, the other's 10,000 milliamps, and the bigger
05:34one's capable of charging laptops and stuff, because it has power delivery, which is pretty
05:36cool.
05:37We have Nintendo Switch, which, to be honest, I don't use that much very often.
05:42The last thing in this room, I guess, I think this is the last piece, it's the Google Home
05:46Mini.
05:47So this is something that I've grown to like more and more over time.
05:48It's just a really simple $50 device that gives you home automation and just assistant
05:54features and stuff like that.
05:55It's pretty cool.
05:56That basically wraps it up.
05:57I should know, the chairs.
05:59So there's two chairs in here.
06:00These are, okay, I gotta be honest, they look really cool, but they're not for everyone
06:05because they are very stiff.
06:07They're not like super comfortable chairs.
06:09These are from a company called Pentatonix, and it's called the AirTool.
06:11But what makes these chairs special is that the entire chair is made from recycled materials,
06:16so I kind of feel a little bit better about myself using them.
06:19And that basically wraps it up.
06:20This is the office tour of my house.
06:25Okay, thanks for watching.
06:26Hope you guys enjoyed this video.
06:27Thumbs if you liked it, subs if you loved it.
06:29I'll see you guys next time.
