00:06The Senate President Francis Cheese Escudero, who is the head of the Blue Ribbon Committee,
00:13is considering the so-called Motu Proprio investigation into the war on drugs of the former administration.
00:19The Senate President explained that the Blue Ribbon Committee has the power to conduct a Motu Proprio
00:26or its own investigation.
00:29Once the session of the Senate begins, the Justice and Human Rights Committee can take action.
00:37The plan of Senator Bato de la Rosa will be remembered for the investigation.
00:42However, some Senators do not agree with this, especially when it comes to the issue of war on drugs.
00:51President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr. passed the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning Act.
00:58His goal is to improve the quality of education in the country and to fill the learning gaps of students
01:05who were affected by the pandemic.
01:09It will also focus on the competencies of each student, such as reading, mathematics, and science.
01:15Under the new law, the programs where out-of-school youth who returned to school will also be implemented.

02:18Expect a rollback in the price of oil products next week.
02:22According to the Department of Energy,
02:24the price of gasoline can go down by P50 to P75 per liter,
02:31while the price of diesel can go up to P1.15 per liter,
02:36while the price of kerosene can go down to P1.00 per liter.
02:40This will slow down the demand for kerosene by the start of 2025.
