Throughout the October half term, Brocksbushes farm shop in Northumberland have a pick your own pumpkins event on, as well as a funfair and lots more for the family to enjoy.

00:00We're at Broxbushes Farm Shop. It's based just off the A69 near Stocksfield. So we are a pick
00:05your own fruit farm and a farm shop. We've also got a brand new restaurant here called the Courtyard
00:09Kitchen and a children's play barn. So you can come to Broxbushes, spend the whole day here,
00:14have a little browse, go for some lunch, go into the play barn if you've got kids.
00:18And then seasonal activities like pick your own pumpkins is open in October. We've got pick your
00:23own fruit through the summer. So it's just a lovely day out. Broxbushes has been owned and
00:29run by the Dickinson family since 1979. It's been passed down from one generation to the next
00:34and the family are committed to using and providing quality local produce to visitors.
00:41So I think it's great. I think there's so much to do. Like now they've got all the new things
00:44to be able to come here, pumpkin picking, then have a nice coffee, get some food afterwards,
00:49and just a nice family day out really, especially with the little one and just
00:53be able to do some family things together. Get some good photo ops. Yeah, definitely. There's
00:57a lot of good photo opportunities and lots of different props. So if a family comes here on
01:03a day, currently with pick your own pumpkins, we've obviously got the patch open. We've also
01:07got a range of fun fair rides here available, which they can make the most of on a pay as you
01:12go basis. We've got the play barn, which you need to pre-book via our website because you can only
01:16have a certain amount of kids on there at once. But that's four levels of soft play. There's a
01:20cafe in there for parents to have like a coffee and cake. And then we've got our restaurant here,
01:24which you can also have like brunch, breakfast or lunch at. Yeah, I'll probably do some carving
01:29later as well. Yeah, we want to make sure to get a nice pumpkin, nice few pumpkins to take home.
01:33And maybe one that we could try with her in. Stick her in it. Yeah. But I think just yeah,
01:40a nice day. And also the weather's lovely. So just get to go out in the sunshine and
01:44have a little family day. A little coffee later or something. Definitely. Have a little relax.
01:47Hopefully she behaves. Basically, you come here, you grab a wheelbarrow, you pick your pumpkins.
01:52We have over 40 varieties this year. Make the most of the different photo opportunities in the
01:58patch. We've got a big bale slide here this year, which the kids seem to love. And then you pay for
02:04your pumpkins. You can go and pimp your pumpkins. And yeah, it's just a lovely day out for the family.
02:12You can come to Broxbushes for a family day out, but you can also come along to grab some fresh
02:16local fruit, veg or meat. The venue uses produce grown locally in their fresh foods in the deli
02:22and their patisserie. In the summer, we're open for pick your own fruit. So we grow all our own
02:28strawberries here, raspberries, black currants, red currants and gooseberries. So you can come
02:32and pick those through the summer from June to end of August, early September. And we've got our big
02:37Christmas fair coming up from the 14th to the 17th of November. So that's a four day event where
02:42we'll see about 450 people an hour through through the doors and we'll have big marquees full of
02:46lovely festive produce. And we've got some some things going on in the background for like kids
02:51around Christmas time, but it hasn't been released yet. So that's coming up as well.
02:55So think visits from people from the North Pole and that type of thing. So.
