00:03You've always put on great performances,
00:04but the one you put on against Christie,
00:05I mean, this was a tough guy.
00:07We said coming in on the show that, you know,
00:08just like you, it was a guy who fought at a higher weight class,
00:10had a lot of success, and then still decided,
00:12you know what, I feel better at the lower weight class,
00:15dropped down, had a great fight in England.
00:17This was his second fight at this weight class.

00:20trying to take your belt.
00:22What was it that you expected from him?
00:23And, you know, did things go the way you kind of planned
00:26in, you know, your work before the fight at Shift?

00:30did your power even impress you
00:31the way you dropped him those couple of times

00:34I 100% expect the fight to go exactly how it did.
00:39What I mean by that is I'm very confident in myself.
00:42The amount of work that I put in, what I'm capable of.
00:46One of the biggest things that I pride myself on
00:48is my fight IQ, and I just,
00:52I understand what people are looking for.
00:54I have great eyes.
00:55I can make, you know, defensive movements on the fly,
00:58and I can counter right off of them.
01:00So I knew that going into the fight
01:02that whenever he decided to push,
01:05that I was going to be able to connect clean
01:07and set him down.
01:10I just wasn't sure if he was going to come out of the gate
01:12trying to get me out of there
01:14or if he was going to try to box me.
01:15And for the first round,
01:16he kind of was on his back foot a little bit.
01:18And then the second round,
01:21he tried to engage a little bit,
01:24and I was just already coming forward so hard.
01:26So it went exactly how we had planned,
01:29and it was just a beautiful thing.
01:33It's beautiful when a plan comes together like that.
01:35A great performance by you against a very tough opponent there,
01:39a guy who, like we said, was a former champion over in the UK.
01:43You know, of course, you had that little insight, of course,
01:45with him fighting Jared Warren when he had that title.
