Genevieve lives a life as a shy and neurotic book editor, avoiding co-workers and pitching to become the next ghost writer for her publishing house’s most popular crime novel series. But no one, not even her therapist, knows that Genevieve has a secret battle with Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Though her life at home and in public is a constant struggle to avoid any stress that would trigger her dissociations, the series and its haphazard depiction of DID begin to disturb Genevieve as she is flooded with flashes of memories she had no part in creating. Nervous of how dangerous she and her alter “Stevie” may be, she discovers clues to the horrors they may have taken part in. Moving dangerously close to the mysteries of her past, Genevieve descends into terrifying hallucinations as she draws closer to the origin of her trauma and the answer to the question she’s always been afraid to ask: What happened to Genevieve?
