00:00A company at the forefront of sustainable innovation applied to the modern building is Sengoben Italia,
00:12producer of insulators for buildings and in particular glass wool, which has inaugurated a new photovoltaic park
00:17with a surface of 70,000 square meters adjacent to the production plant,
00:22which will produce 4.65 megawatts of electric power, greatly improving the sustainability of the plant.
00:29Made in the headquarters of Vidalengo di Caravaggio, a production reality of primary importance for the economy of the province of Bergamo.
00:36An important step in the process of decarbonization of the sites in Italy and in the group,
00:40the company, in fact, has set itself the goal of neutralizing emissions by 2050.
00:45This plant will allow us to consume all the energy produced,
00:51which will be consumed in the Sengoben plant, which is therefore in Vidalengo di Caravaggio,
00:57and this therefore represents an important step.
01:01It is part of the process of reducing the environmental impact of this production,
01:06where, in addition to CO2, we are concerned with reducing resource consumption.
01:16In recent years, we have reduced 80% of water consumption for cooling.
01:21For many years, the glass wool produced in this plant has been produced with more than 70% recycled material,
01:32and this makes it a flagship example of sustainability for the production of building materials.
01:45Glass wool is a mineral fiber used for the thermal and acoustic insulation of buildings,
01:51as well as one of the basic products for building buildings in a sustainable way,
01:55as it reduces the impact and energy consumption during the period of use, and it is also one of the safest products.
02:02Because it is part of the reaction class to fire A1 and A2,
02:07which are, for building materials, the best classes of fire behavior,
02:14it is true that yesterday, at the inauguration of the first stone for the reconstruction of Torre Antonini,
02:22architects, engineers, the architect Piva, the governor Fontana and the mayor of Milan
02:31reiterated the importance of building with safe materials,
02:35so not only do they insulate, but they are safe materials.
02:39It has been shown that the glass wool installed in the Torre Antonini
02:43has allowed to protect the structure during the emergency,
02:47and it is what has allowed to avoid further human tragedies.
