00:00What's up guys, today I'm going to be sharing some tips for you guys who have Samsung Galaxy phones
00:05And I want to go ahead and get started, I think these are some tips that you should know, especially if you're new to One UI
00:11Alright, so the first thing is to go into the Samsung Members application
00:15Now, if you don't have Samsung Members application, you can get it from the Galaxy Store
00:19So, we're going to go into Samsung Members
00:21And this is something I like to do with used refurbished phones, it's just to check and make sure everything is working
00:27So you click support, phone diagnostics, and then you can see, you can go ahead and pretty much check everything
00:32And also, one of the things I like to do in here is check battery health
00:35So when you buy a used phone, you just want to make sure that battery health is good on here
00:40And you can also just check everything else on here, fingerprint scanner, all that good stuff
00:45You can go ahead and check it, make sure everything works
00:48If something doesn't work, then you know you need to send it back
00:51Alright, so one of the next things I like to do is to put my lock screen on a timer
00:57So basically, you would do this, so if you were texting somebody back and forth
01:01You know, when you lock your phone, you have a habit of locking it
01:04And you see you have to unlock it or use a face unlock each time
01:07It can be a little bit annoying, so one of the things I like to do, go into settings
01:11Then we're going to go into lock screen, secure lock screen
01:15I'm going to put in my password real quick
01:18Alright, so here you want to go ahead and toggle this off, lock instantly with side key
01:25And then you can go ahead and choose the time that you want
01:28So typically, I like to do like, you know, maybe 2 minutes, 5 minutes or whatever
01:33And now you see, you unlock your phone, now you can see it doesn't just go straight to, you know, your phone
01:42So this is very useful, it saves, you know, it just saves a little bit of time
01:48Alright, so another cool thing that you can do is that
01:51You know how on Samsung devices, I'll just go ahead and show you advanced features
01:55And then you go to the side key, you can assign pretty much any app
01:59You know, in the side key, I just keep it on the camera
02:02But when you press and hold, it only gives you 2 options, the power off menu and Bixby
02:07So if you do want to go ahead and add like an application to that
02:11You're going to go into the Galaxy Store, download GoodLock application
02:15It's right in the Galaxy Store
02:16And then open GoodLock here
02:18And then you're going to download an application called Registar
02:22And it should be right, you know, in here
02:24You'll see it in this life up menu here
02:27And then we'll go ahead and just open Registar
02:33And then we will be allowed to go ahead and change that
02:36So you can see side key, press and hold action
02:39We'll go ahead and turn that on
02:41And then you can see, we can just choose whichever app we want
02:45So like I said, you know, I'm a bigger fan of, you know, the Google Assistant
02:53But I think like the second most used application is probably YouTube
02:59So now you can see, I open my camera now
03:02And now if I long press, I can open up YouTube
03:05This is super useful guys, I absolutely love it just to get to my applications
03:09You know, quickly without having to think about it
03:11So next is the sharing on here
03:14So you can go ahead and share webpages and also Samsung Notes
03:19Like if you have a family member or somebody nearby with another Samsung phone
03:23So I'm using the Note 20 Ultra for example here
03:26So how you would activate this, you go to settings, connected devices
03:30And it needs to be turned on on both phones
03:32So continue apps on other devices
03:34That needs to be turned on on both phones
03:38And you can set it up to contacts only or, you know, just anyone nearby
03:42And so once you go ahead and do that
03:44So when you open up the Samsung browser here
03:47So let's just go to this
03:50And I'll copy the page
03:52And you can see copy, you can paste on your nearby phone
03:55And then you can see, I can open it up
04:01The same thing on the other phone
04:06It's pretty cool, like I said, it's extremely useful if you have a tablet
04:09To just continue to pull up, you know, whatever video you're watching
04:13Or webpage you're reading or whatever
04:15Or just to transfer notes and stuff like that
04:18So I think it's pretty awesome
04:20This last one is pretty dope
04:22We're gonna go into Good Lock again
04:24And install Camera Assistant
04:26So this is something that's pretty cool
04:28So, you know, typically with the normal Samsung application
04:33It doesn't take the fastest photos, right?
04:36So if you're at a sporting event or something like that
04:39You're trying to get a quick shot of a moving object
04:43Sometimes you get a blurry photo, right?
04:45I've noticed that
04:47So one cool thing when you install that
04:49You're gonna go to Settings
04:51And then you're gonna go down
04:53You'll see a new setting here called Camera Assistant
04:56And we're gonna go ahead and press Quick Tap Shutter
04:59And then we're gonna go ahead and click Prioritize Speed
05:02So now when you take a photo
05:04You can see it's like super blazing fast
05:08Now, the question is
05:10Well, Matt, is that gonna decrease the quality?
05:12Not really
05:14Not that I can really notice
05:16Now, maybe if you were really trying to see
05:18Maybe
05:20But I really can't notice any difference
05:22But like I said, it's just something that
05:24If you're at a sporting event or something like that
05:26If you're really that worried about quality
05:28You can just turn it off
05:30But I would turn this on if I'm trying to get pictures of
05:32Like your kid or something
05:34I think this is really useful to get a nice clear shot
05:36So that is pretty much it guys
05:38Be sure to let me know what you guys thought
05:40And I'll catch you guys in the next one
