00:00What's up guys, we are back with another tips and trick videos.
00:04Today I'm going to be showing you some tips that you may or may not know for your Samsung Galaxy smartphone.
00:10And let's go ahead and just dive in here.
00:13Alright, so the first one, I believe this is a fairly new tip and I think this is only for when you're at 5.1.
00:18Not all of these are going to be for 5.1, but I believe this one is.
00:22So, this one is for if you want to lock a certain folder in your Samsung's gallery.
00:27So, as you can see here, if I click on the folder here, and then I go to more, you can see now I have lock album.
00:35So now, this album is completely locked, it needs a pin to be able to get in.
00:40So, I'm going to show you how to actually do this.
00:43So, you're going to click on these three right here, those three lines, and then you're going to go to settings.
00:49And then what you're going to do is scroll all the way down to about gallery.
00:53You're going to click on the version number, I believe, like, I think 11 times, and then you'll see it pop up.
00:58Then you have Galaxy Gallery Labs, and then you will see album lock entry, turn that on.
01:04And now, every time you want to, like, say lock this one, just click on more, and then we lock this one as well too.
01:11So, you can see my screenshots are open, but this one closed, it needs a password.
01:16So, it's a really, really good way to keep, you know, certain files secured.
01:21All right, so here's a cool tip to set up multiple fingerprints, and we can also use someone else's fingerprints on this phone.
01:27So, I'll show you guys what I'm talking about.
01:28So, we'll go to security, and then we'll set up.
01:31I took my lock screen and fingerprints off, but we're going to go to lock screen, fingerprints, and then we're going to set it up.
01:38We're going to just put a password in here real quick.
01:42All right, so when you register it, you're going to scan one finger up to 50%.
01:50So, 47, then we're going to do the other finger.
01:59All right, so now I can use, as you can see, both.
02:05And then it leaves a profile, basically.
02:09It leaves a profile, basically, so someone else can set up another fingerprint, which is pretty cool.
02:14So, your kids or wife or someone can actually come in here and add another profile, which is really nice.
02:20So, it's just a cool little way of setting up multiple fingerprints.
02:23I always do this just when you set your phone up because, you know, sometimes you unlock with this thumb or this one.
02:28So, it's just a really good way to set up multiple fingerprints.
02:32All right, so this next one is a pretty cool one.
02:34So, if you guys ever have an application where you can't force pop-up view or split screen, so I'll give you an example.
02:40Like, if we go to Instagram here, you can see we have open split screen and pop-up view, but we don't have it for Netflix.
02:47So, I'm going to show you how to actually enable that.
02:49So, we're going to go ahead and go into settings, scroll all the way down, advanced features, labs, and then we're going to turn multi-window for all apps.
02:57I'm going to go ahead and turn that on, and then I just like to exit out of all applications and then pop it up because sometimes it takes a second to register.
03:06But now you can see, now we have it pop-up view now.
03:09So, we have that on here that we can use in pop-up or split screen if we desire to, which is really nice.
03:17So, I think that's just a really awesome thing that Samsung put in here.
03:21All right, so here it is.
03:23So, go into settings and then we can type in, you're going to look for secure lock settings.
03:27So, go to that, secure lock settings, and you can go ahead and turn on lockdown option.
03:36And then also, if you feel like somebody's trying to get into your phone or something like that, you can also turn on auto-factory reset.
03:42So, after 20 in career, you can turn on auto-factory reset.
03:47So, basically, I can't use my fingerprint scanner.
03:49I can only use the password now.
03:53So, I think that's a pretty nice setting to have.

04:20Just in case you feel like somebody might try to use your fingerprint in your sleep or something like that, or whatever reason, right?
04:28All right, so for this last one, this is a must for anyone who plans on keeping their phone for, you know, the full life cycle.
04:34You want to protect the battery, guys.
04:37So, go into settings here, and Samsung has it built right in, which is something I absolutely love.
04:44And then we're going to go ahead and look for the, where am I, battery and device care.
04:50Click on battery, and then we're going to go ahead and click on more battery settings.
04:56This is so awesome.
04:58So, turn this on, it'll be turned off by default.
05:01To extend the lifespan of your battery, limit the maximum charge to 85%.
05:05So, basically, this will keep the battery health of the phone really good because it'll stop the charge at 85%.
05:12And you know how phones decrease in battery life over time?
05:16This will definitely help that out, so you will have really good battery health over the years turning this on.
05:22So, it's definitely, you know, a must turn on.
