00:00So guys today we're going to be comparing the s23 plus to the s22 ultra here
00:05This is a very good comparison because this is very interesting
00:09because they're about the same price, but I think the
00:13S22 ultra might be a little bit cheaper. It actually might be like a hundred dollars cheaper
00:19Yeah, because you can find it for like 400 bucks now
00:22The s23 you can see around, you know close to 500 cheapest. I see it is 459
00:28Um, but yeah, let's go ahead and get into this so very interesting here
00:32So let's talk about the overall design here
00:35So you are getting a bigger phone here with the s22 ultra and it is definitely more boxy
00:42so it's not as comfortable to hold as the
00:46s23 plus here and
00:49You do have a glass and metal design on both of these as well too
00:53Both phones are really nice to look at that pretty much have
00:57Similar camera setups as well, too
01:00Um, but yeah, I would say hardware wise they both look really good
01:03but I really like how comfortable the the s23 is now the selling point with the
01:09S22 is obviously the s-pen here. You have a built-in s-pen, which is something that the s23 lacks
01:16And you can pretty much do digital artwork with this
01:19You can use it to write down notes samsung has really good software as well too with the s-pen
01:24And you can do a you know smart select screen right and a bunch of other stuff, uh here, you know add shortcuts
01:31you can also use it, uh to
01:34Like if you're a digital content creator, you just press the button take a picture from a distance video
01:39So it's a very cool a little you know pin to have for sure
01:44All right. So let's talk about the overall displays here
01:47So the s23 plus has a 6.6 inch display it's dynamic amoled
01:52120 hertz hdr 10 plus
01:561750 nits peak brightness at a 1080p resolution at 393 for the ppi
02:02The s22 has a more squared off screen. So it kind of looks more like a tv
02:07Um, but again sharp on the edges now
02:10This has a curved panel compared to this flat panel and this is 1440p pretty much with the same screen
02:16It's a dynamic amoled display 120 hertz hdr 10 plus again same max brightness at 1750 nits
02:24But again, it's 1440p at 500 for the ppi
02:28The both screens pretty much look identical even resolution wise you would really have to pull up like
02:341440p video or images to really
02:37See it and like I said, most people it's just really hard to to tell the difference like if you're looking at it from this distance
02:44Um, but yeah, so both displays are great color wise they pretty much look identical
02:49Um as well too so really nice displays
02:50It really just comes down to do you want a flat or a curved display?
02:54um as well a lot of people like the flat panels because it's easier to
02:58apply the
02:59Screen protectors and stuff like that. But yeah as far as displays, um, you know, this one's slightly bigger slightly higher resolution
03:08this one
03:09Um, it looks good slightly smaller easier to hold
03:12You know not much of a difference here. All right, so let's talk about the specs here. So this is pretty interesting
03:18Uh, you know, which a lot of people want to know so you can see obviously the s23 is going to have better
03:24single and multi-core scores, they're both running one ui 6
03:27Uh point one and they both have the ai features and all that good stuff
03:31Um, but yeah, so let's go ahead and talk about you know, just some some small differences here
03:35So the s23 has the snapdragon 8 gen 2 with the 256 gigs of internal storage 8 gigs of ram on the base
03:43And this s22 this one is a snapdragon 8 gen 1 with 128 gigs and 8 gigs of ram
03:51All right, so let's go ahead and talk about it. So obviously, you know, it's going to have a
03:55Better single and multi-core score now. I downloaded 3d
03:59Wild uh 3d, um, yeah the wildlife benchmarks and I ran several benchmark tests as you guys can see
04:05So we'll start here with the nomad light so you guys can see
04:09again
04:10Look at the frame rates
04:12And then we come down here. You can see the battery, uh drain on this test and then also
04:17The temperature as well as the frame rates as well, too
04:22and
04:22on this test
04:25This was just a longer test like 20 minutes and you can see here battery drain
04:30Also the temperature as well too in the fps
04:34as well
04:35And then this was the last test the wildlife extreme stress test
04:40And you can see the scores here
04:42So if you guys want to look at these graphs and compare them a lot of people wanted to see these
04:47So you guys can see battery life again
04:50Temperature and then your fps as well. So
04:54Obviously
04:55you're going to have a more powerful phone on the uh,
04:58S23 as far as benchmarks and stuff like that now as far as using the phones, they're pretty much feel
05:04identical
05:06In terms of speed guys, so you're in games. You'll pretty much get the same experience here
05:12As far as you know your gaming settings at least
05:16So when you're in pub g you can see on the s23. We got ultra extreme on here
05:22So it's a very very smooth
05:24Experience on here and we should have ultra extreme on this one as well
05:30No, we only have extreme plus. All right, so you do have better settings on the s23
05:36Plus so that's pretty interesting
05:39Um, but yeah, so technically you do have better gaming settings on the s23
05:43It is going to be a little bit smoother as far as fps. I'm not sure how many
05:48Uh other games you'll get the the full 120 frames
05:52Um, but this one plays great at 90 frames, but you can immediately tell the difference when it's running at 120 frames
05:59Um, i'm not sure again how many other games
06:02You know this will translate to but yes
06:05The s23 plus is technically as far as benchmarks going to be the better gaming device
06:10But if you're a more of a casual gamer, um
06:14They'll be pretty similar in terms of you know, just being able to get a couple matches in
06:19All right. Let's check out these speakers at max volume here
06:43So
07:09All right, so the s23 plus definitely has
07:13Uh, the better sounding speakers. It just has a little bit more bass to it
07:17And overall it just sounds a little bit fuller and more balanced sound. Um, so definitely slightly better
07:25Speakers on the s23 plus
07:27Now both these phones actually have the pretty much the same
07:33Galaxy ai features, but there is one feature missing. It's a very small
07:38Uh thing but you can see here essentially all the same stuff
07:41Uh, what you will notice that you don't have on the s22 is actually
07:46The slow-mo to hold down
07:49so
07:50I'll show you guys that
07:54Uh gallery, so basically click on the video you can see I don't have that slow-mo
08:03Click on this one
08:05You can see get that little animation then I get the slow-mo by doing that
08:08It doesn't have that the s22 but it has uh
08:12Has everything else, uh, but essentially you got the you got the same stuff
08:15So everything is going to be on here as far as you know features goes
08:20So let's talk about the cameras on both of these devices here
08:24So on the s23 you do have a 50 megapixel standard a 10 megapixel telephoto three times optical
08:31With a 12 megapixel ultra wide it shoots an 8k 30 with a 12 megapixel selfie that shoots in 4k 60
08:38You also have a max zoom of 30
08:42And then also on the s22 you have a 108 megapixel standard a 10 megapixel
08:47Telephoto with three times and then a 10 megapixel periscope telephoto
08:51With 10 times and an ultra wide camera at 12 megapixels and this shoots an 8k 24
08:56And you also have a 40 megapixel selfie that shoots in 4k 60
09:00This has a max zoom of 100 times. So check out these side-by-side stills and photos and let me know what you guys think
09:30So
10:00So
10:31So
10:50All right, so battery life you have a 4700 milliamp hour battery on the s23
10:5645 watt charging with wireless and reverse wireless charging
11:00And then you have a 5000 milliamp battery on the s22 with 45 watt charging also with wireless and reverse wireless charging
11:08Battery life on the s23 plus seems to be a little bit better
11:12Um, you just to me is just getting better screen on time in my opinion
11:16Um the s22 ultra since it it got the one ui 6.1 update
11:21The standby time has been a little bit better but screen on time is is decent but I don't think it's as good as
11:27the s23 plus
11:29Um, and it could be you know, various reasons, you know the chip it could also be
11:34You know just the the 1440p on here as well, too
11:38Um, so yeah, so it's not terrible battery life on the s22 ultra
11:43But I think the s23 plus just has slightly better battery life
11:47So what do you guys think be sure to let me know what you guys think and i'll catch you guys in the next one
