Filipinos pay tribute to One Direction's Liam Payne
Filipino fans gathered at a mall in Manila on Sunday, October 20, to offer a tribute to One Direction's Liam Payne's death.
Payne, 31, who shot to global fame with boy band One Direction, was found dead on Wednesday, October 16, after he fell from a third-floor hotel room balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, leaving fans in shock.
Fans wrote inspirational messages of support on a tribute wall, offered flowers and held a short prayer to Payne as they grieved for the loss of their music icon.
Investigators in Argentina are now working to reconstruct Payne's final hours, after saying the singer's death likely occurred after "some kind of episode due to substance abuse".
