00:07The U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation or FBI is now investigating the arrest of armed men of an American vlogger in Zamboanga, Del Norte.

00:18The Philippine National Police Region 9 Task Force has formed to investigate the case.

00:31On October 17, armed men arrested the 26-year-old American vlogger, Ilyot Onil Eastman, in Zamboanga, Del Norte.

00:39According to the police, the victim's house was entered by four suspects who had M16 rifles and introduced themselves as enforcement officers.

00:48The victim fought, so he was shot in his chest before he was taken to the bank, jail, or asylum.

00:55We don't have any ransom.

00:58Second, we checked, as per record, the background of our victim.

01:03He doesn't have a known big business.

01:07And he doesn't have a known profession.

01:11He went to the Philippines.

01:13According to PNP Region 9, there are persons of interest in the case of the arrest of Eastman.

01:18Eastman has been in the country for five months after being married to a Filipina.

01:23In one of his vlogs this September, he mentioned that there was a threat to his life.

01:28People coming here to tell my family that there's people that want to kidnap me or they're threatening to kidnap me.

01:36I don't really know, like, what would happen if somebody did try to come here and kidnap me, right?

01:42Would the neighbors help me or would they just sit there and watch?

01:45Even last night, I'm scared a little bit. I'm scared.

01:49The Philippine wife of Ilyot, a former OFW in Saudi Arabia, has been arrested by the Salisay police.

01:55They have set up a task group to investigate the case.

01:58The US Federal Bureau of Investigation or FBI is also investigating the kidnapping of the American vlogger.

02:04The wife of the victim was visited and talked to by FBI agents this Saturday.

02:08The FBI told the police that no ransom demand was received by Eastman's family in America.

02:14The US Embassy continues to monitor the authorities and the victim's family.

02:19They say the victim's safety is their priority while monitoring the situation.
