00:00We're testing the Oppo Find X5 Pro's camera performance at night.
00:08Good day, you beautiful people! Welcome to Issa Does Tech, where we do tech in your life, in style.
00:13The Oppo Find X5 cameras are supposedly very, very good in low light, and on this channel,
00:17we test out these things by taking these cameras out for a spin. Before we begin,
00:21a special shoutout to Oppo for making this video happen. Of course, that doesn't mean
00:24I won't be testing these cameras out properly. You'll be seeing photo and video output straight
00:29from these cameras, so you can see for yourself just how well they did. Anyway, all this low
00:33light talk got me thinking. When do we normally want good low light performance in camera
00:37smartphones? I mean, we don't always have fireworks to shoot every day, right? In this video,
00:42I'm taking the Oppo Find X5 Pro in everyday scenarios, which we'd usually do, to see if we
00:48can get good IG photos or vlog video. We're taking it out to dinner on a rooftop sunset session.
00:54We're doing a mini low light twinkle light photo shoot. All this to see if we can take good photos
01:00and videos with the Find X5 Pro, minus the one thing everyone swears by to get good photos and
01:06videos. Minus good lighting. For our first challenge, we're gonna need twinkle lights,
01:12rainbow lights, a sunset lamp. We've all seen these glorious low light twinkle photo shoots,
01:17and I think if these cameras are good in low light, it should be able to do those. To recap,
01:22we're working with a 50 megapixel wide, a 50 megapixel main, both with IMX766 Sony sensors.
01:29We have the same camera hardware for both the wide and the main, meaning no compromises no
01:34matter what shooter you use. The third camera on the back there is a 13 megapixel telephoto camera,
01:40though I don't think we'll be using that much for this part of the low light photo challenge.
01:44First up, we try shooting with a sunset lamp, and I'm sure you've seen this on TikTok. Basically,
01:50we have only this as a light source. Let me tell you, it wasn't easy shooting me with the rear
01:55cameras by myself, but I am pleased with how the photos turned out. For more drama, I did add a
02:01backlight to myself, and I love how that made this photo look so dreamy. What I especially love is
02:07the fact that I can shoot with wide, and I get the same quality. Up front is a 32 megapixel selfie
02:14camera plus a Sony IMX709, which OPPO claims can let in 60% more light. Selfies are usually
02:21the cameras that are forgotten. They don't optimize it for special scenarios like low light,
02:26but these selfies prove otherwise. And by the way, all of these cameras are powered by
02:32OPPO's Marii Silicone X. Yes, including these selfie cameras.
02:37Now, moving on to the rainbow nightlight, same parameters.
02:40This was the only light source when I shot these photos.
02:50This was the set I liked best. Who knew I'd be back in my Tumblr era with just a nightlight
02:55and a capable camera.
03:07Now, moving on to what inspired this whole shoot, some twinkle lights.
03:28An evening out sounds like the best scenario to test out these cameras, so I'm doing
03:33just that. We start off watching the sunset on a rooftop, and of course,
03:37we took a lot of photos. Especially inspiring, aside from the view of course,
03:42is how the cameras were able to take great photos despite the scene being backlit.
03:50The two main shooters on the back also have new glass. On the wide,
03:54there's a freeform lens, so no warping on the sides.
03:57On the main, ultra transparent glass for better images, claims OPPO.
04:03As the sun set, light became scarce, but not our good shots.
04:33Our night doesn't end there. I brought these cameras to dinner,
04:42where I knew there'd be a lot of funky lighting and neon signs.
05:03Despite the flashing lights, the cameras did not struggle at all. And again,
05:23I am loving the fact that I have the wide-angled option.
05:26And though there is only one selfie shooter, you also get that wide option up front.
05:32Cameras on the OPPO Find X5 Pro also have 5-axis OIS,
05:36which makes shooting on these so smooth, and you can see that right now.
06:02Despite the crazy lighting in here, I think the photos came out well.
06:11All the colors are bright. Remember, these are straight from camera with no editing.
06:16I also especially like that my skin tone isn't as off, considering again, the crazy lighting.
06:32So
06:48like I always say, the best cameras are the ones you have with you to shoot special fleeting
06:52moments. But it also really pays to have one that can shoot any scenario. After all,
06:57special fleeting moments can't all be well lit.
07:00I personally feel like the OPPO Find X5 Pro did very well in especially difficult lighting
07:06situations. The backlit sunset shots were my favorite from this whole shootout. I would for
07:11sure trust this phone to be one of the most capable in low-light scenarios.
07:16That was our look at the OPPO Find X5 Pro and how well it does in low-light scenarios.
07:21How do you guys think it did? Let me know in the comment section down below.
