00:00The police already have a composite sketch regarding the arrest of an American in Zamboanga del Norte.

00:07The persons of interest are being investigated and it is being investigated if they are connected to any group.

00:19At 11 o'clock in the evening of October 17, an American, Elliot Eastman, was arrested in their house in Cebuco, Zamboanga del Norte.

00:26Based on the initial investigation of the police, four armed men identified the police who entered the house of the 26-year-old victim.

00:35Eastman also tried to escape, but he was shot by the kidnapper in the leg.

00:39He was also dragged to the nearby town of Gagat, where someone is waiting to board a boat.

00:45According to the barangay chairman, Eastman's life in their place is very simple.

01:15People come in here to tell my family that there's people that want to kidnap me or they're threatening to kidnap me.

01:22I don't really know what would happen if somebody did try to come here and kidnap me, right?

01:28Would the neighbors help me or would they just sit there and watch?

01:31Even last night, I'm scared a little bit. I'm scared.

01:36It's been four days since the kidnapping happened and no ransom has been received.

01:41So for the police, the suspects are just in the area of Zamboanga Del Norte.

01:45Normally, in kidnapping cases involving the group that we're talking about, they don't hurt the kidnappers initially.

01:55But this time, the victim was hurt immediately when he saw and resisted.

02:02And in fact, he was shot. So these are the things that we're considering.

02:07There are persons of interest in this case and they are looking for links to local terrorist groups such as Abu Sayyaf or BIFF.

02:15We have composite artist sketches. When we showed these pictures, even in our rogues gallery, witnesses were identified.

02:43The investigation was also conducted by the agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation of the FBI of America.

02:49They also visited Eastman's family last Saturday and they were able to leave.

02:53According to the PNP, the FBI is not active in the investigation and will only ask for an update from their legal attache.
