00:00Liam Payne's death investigation is now yielding some results, at least as it pertains to what he was doing in the moments before he died, falling out of his hotel balcony, although police have said, they used the word jumped, that he jumped from that balcony.
00:21We'll get into what that means in a minute.
00:23Right.
00:24What they found in his system is shocking.
00:28An incredible cocktail of different drugs, they say, that the toxicology results have yielded.
00:35Talking about cocaine, crack, also something they call pink cocaine, which is really this combination of amphetamines, cocaine, ketamine, MDMA, all of that.
00:53And Charles, there were also some anti-anxiety prescription drugs in his system, and you could imagine that the entire cocktail effect of all of these drugs could have put him into some sort of psychotic episode or hallucinogenic state that could have led to this result.
01:06And so, and I think it's important to say this, that the Argentinian authorities are saying that he jumped from the hotel balcony.
01:16Now, we don't know whether that's based on video they have, surveillance video in the hotel, whether it's witness accounts, we don't know, they haven't said.
01:24But even if that's true, that he jumped, we should not...
01:28When you know that he's on all those drugs...
01:31That does not mean he was trying to take his life.
01:33Right.
01:34That could mean that he was...
01:36He's hallucinating.
01:37Hallucinating, and there's certainly evidence of that by the staffer who found him in the hotel lobby and was so alarmed...
01:44Right, when they called 911, remember the words they used, that this person was in and out of consciousness and was clearly suffering from the effects of either alcohol or drugs or both.
01:57And now, based on the toxicology, it seems it is both.
02:01The police also said that they found several bottles of alcohol in the room, as well as the paraphernalia that was used to actually ingest these drugs.
02:13You see that, they say that tube you see there is a foil, a makeshift pipe used to smoke some of these drugs.
02:20Yeah, I think this does start to paint a picture that he was heavily under the influence.
02:24I think initial reports were that maybe this was a fall, but if you see the balcony, the balcony doesn't really lend any credence to the idea that he fell.
02:31There is a guardrail there.
02:33Something happened where he was in a state of either hallucinating or just psychotic episode of some sort.
02:40It's very, very sad, though.
02:41To kind of back up a little bit, he struggled with substance abuse.
02:45And it is not unlike Matthew Perry in the sense that, you know, people try, they struggle and it is a life where they're doing well.
02:54Yeah. But at any moment, something you know, this is why you hear one day at a time, say one day at a time.
03:00Yeah. Yeah.
03:01Hello, my name is Kamani and I'm from St. Louis.
03:03And I think it's truly sad and devastating.
03:05And we are paying out of such a tragic early day.
03:08He was loved by millions of people all around the world, including family members.
03:12But sadly, he was dealing with a lot of mental struggles and a lot of celebrities and many people all around the world use substance to cope with those issues.
03:19Yeah, they do.
03:20Yeah.
03:21And, you know, it's funny.
03:24I gave a speech this weekend and somebody asked me, somebody who taught and teaches in the L.A. school system.
03:33There's a new program to help people out with substance abuse.
03:37And they wanted to know, like, any advice just based on everything we've covered.
03:41And, you know, one of the things I was that we talked about was sometimes, especially with young people, talk about it before they become heavily addicted.
03:51Right.
03:52And talk about, you know, what underlies the need to do it rather than waiting until it just spirals out of control.
04:00Right.

05:56Some good news from Britney Spears.
06:00She is in a new relationship.
06:02In fact, she says she is married.
06:05and she will be in this relationship for life.
06:07Yes, because according to her,
06:10she posted this video of herself in the veil
06:13and said, throwing it back to the day I married myself,
06:16bringing it back because it might seem embarrassing
06:18or stupid, but I think it's the most brilliant thing
06:20I've ever done.
06:21It's hard to get in an argument with your partner.
06:25That's not true.
06:26You know what I mean?
06:27You can definitely argue with yourself.
06:28But look, I mean, I don't know,
06:30she may have meant this as a metaphor
06:32just for saying that she is taking time to love herself.
06:36It also could have to do with her battles
06:39with mental illness.
06:40Also, a lot of fans online are thinking
06:41that maybe this is her kind of revealing
06:44that she's no longer with Paul.
06:46Remember, we had done several stories.
06:47She was dating Paul and they were kind of on and off
06:51and it was like a very kind of toxic relationship.
06:55And usually, if you've had, you know,
06:58bad relationships over and over and over again,
07:00you kind of get to a place where you're like,
07:02you know what?
07:03It's like more of a metaphor.
07:04Like, you know what?
07:05I'm just gonna marry myself, like, you know,
07:08be alone, like for some time.
07:09So people are kind of taking it like that.
07:10You don't necessarily get, really good points, Charlie,
07:13but you don't necessarily get a veil to do it.
07:15Yeah, true.
07:16I mean, she's performative, right?
07:18I mean, she's Britney Spears.
07:19You gotta care for this metaphor, okay?
07:20But I kind of get it.
07:21And I think that's a really good point
07:23that this whole thing with Paul.
07:25Yeah.
07:26Because maybe this is a sign that that is finally over
07:31because it was toxic.
07:33It was rough.
07:34It was rough.
07:36Hi, I'm Vicki Miller and I'm from North Mississippi.
07:39And as far as Britney Spears goes,
07:42I think maybe her marrying herself
07:45is a form of self-love and self-care
07:47to take care of herself.
07:49And the only thing that concerns me though,
07:51she's a little sporadic in her behavior.
07:55And I'm not sure where her accent's coming from,
07:58but we love Britney Spears
08:00and I've loved her since I was a teenager
08:02and we want her to have self-care and self-love
08:05because I can only imagine the stress that comes
08:08from being in Hollywood and limelight
08:10for all those years growing up as well.
08:13Yeah, especially with a lot of extenuating circumstances.
08:16Yes.
08:17Okay, we're gonna take a break.
08:17All right, when we come back,
08:18Elon Musk's million dollar giveaway,
08:21a giveaway to people who are registering to vote.
08:25Is he walking a line here
08:27as far as whether or not this is legal?
08:30There is a big debate going on about this.
08:32When we come back, we're gonna get into how,
08:35if he is, how he is skirting the law here.
