00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised that the government is doing everything it can to provide the necessary assistance for the affected by the Typhoon Cristina.
00:09Alvin Baltazar of Radyo Pilipinas has a breaking news. Alvin.
00:16Good morning. The government is doing everything it can to provide the necessary assistance for the affected by the Super Typhoon Cristina.
00:26President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. promised that the government is doing everything it can to provide the necessary assistance for the affected by the Typhoon Cristina.
00:35For the President, the government needs to provide the necessary assistance for the affected by the Super Typhoon Cristina while ensuring their safety.
00:45The President assured that all concerned government agencies are moving to reach and provide the necessary assistance for the affected by the Typhoon Cristina.
00:55We are doing everything we can to get assistance, reposition. That's always the key. Get the people evacuated properly, get our goods and equipment repositioned as close as possible without them being having the risk of damage so that they can reach the area where they need to be serviced.
01:20DSWD Secretary Rex Gatchalian assured that the national stockpile of goods is stable, back to two million.
01:29It is clear that the stockpile of goods in affected areas, like Region 1, has 93,000 stockpiles, 109,000 in Region 2, 170,000 in Region 3 and 101,000 family food packs in Region 4B.
01:46He has already started distributing to those in need.
01:52So as of yesterday, Mr. President, we started distributing already and we continue to distribute. Now we're already in the replenishment stage. Our Pasay Hub is running at 20,000 a day so that when the stockpiles of these offices go down, we can keep on sending them.
02:09Meanwhile, the President also instructed Secretary Gatchalian to hold a meeting with the MNDA for the water purifier.
02:18The President did not leave the situation of drinking water in affected areas of Baguio to be critical.
02:25What he's avoiding here is to infect the families who are affected by the calamity and who do not have access to clean drinking water.
02:35Because again, we're going to run into that situation where water supply is critical. People in water supply may get sick.
02:47If we talk about the extent of the effects of Hurricane Christine, the President said that at present, one of the areas being targeted by the government is Region 5 or Bicol Region.
02:58This is Alvin Bautista for Radyo Pilipinas. Thank you.
