00:00We know how endangered fox gum grassy woodlands are, and how important this sort of habitat
00:14is, and this sort of northern woodland of the ACT, I think, should be looked after and
00:19protected.
00:20If there's koalas in here, it should be referred to the Federal Department for an EPBC assessment,
00:28and dealing with an endangered ecosystem that's home to an endangered species, it seems like
00:33it's something we should be taking seriously as Canberrans, given our love of nature in
00:36the bush capital.
00:37It's actually wonderful to hear of this koala here, it's a bit concerning that it's right
00:42on the edge of a proposed development, and hopefully it helps draw attention to this
00:48kind of landscape, because as David said, it's a critically endangered ecosystem, and
00:52we're dealing with endangered species, not just koalas, but other species that live in
00:55this landscape.
00:56So, if it can be an ambassador to help us protect this for its home and the other animals,
01:01that would be wonderful.
