00:00Take me around the racetrack for a lap, Parker.
00:02Right.
00:03So obviously this place is talked about where
00:04you have to be on the wall.
00:05What does that mean?
00:06It means you run directly on the wall
00:07because the way the tires wear here
00:09and the way the track sort of evolves,
00:11you end up up next to the wall because of aero reasons.
00:13And there's just added grip because there's not
00:15as much rubber up there.
00:16So we have a lap here.
00:17I want to take you on board with Kyle Larson.
00:18One of the best in the world at doing it.
00:19And what does he focus on here?
00:20Look how close he is to the wall.
00:21So that is about an inch.
00:22And what really is crazy is you actually,
00:24I think you touched a little.
00:26You lose the difference between your fender and the wall.
00:28So how do you tell how close you are?
00:31Well, what you are doing is you're
00:32listening to the exhaust as it reverberates off the wall.
00:34You're also feeling almost like an air cushion,
00:37like of a pillow against that wall
00:38that the car is leaning up against.
00:40That's crazy to me.
00:41That's what you're feeling and understanding how close you
00:44are.
00:44And you have to do this, whereas the tires are wearing.
00:47You have to back up your entry speed
00:48because you're dealing with a gate of inches, maybe
00:51just an inch.
00:51One inch too far of rolling too much speed on that top side,
00:55you will hit that wall.
00:56And you can only get away with it a couple times.
