00:00Authorities in Region 2 and Cagayan Valley are still responding because of the sudden outbreak of Hurricane Christine.

00:07We got an update from the news center of Benji Durango. Live, Benji.

00:19The relief distributions of the Family Food Packs are continuing here in the two barangays of Tuguegaro City, Gosi Norte and Gosi Sur.

00:27This is the second day of disaster relief operations here in the province of Cagayan.

00:32But until now, there is still no response from the authorities.

00:39This is still the situation here in Tuguegaro City, the catch basin of the flood in Cagayan.

00:44Most of the barangays are ghost towns.

00:47Boats are used to enter the affected areas.

00:49In the 48 barangays of the city, 35 barangays were affected.

00:54Cagayan Valley Region has lost 6,000 families or 17,000 people.

00:59Some people returned to their homes.

01:02But more than 3,000 families or more than 3,000 people are still held by the LGU in evacuation centers.

01:09But the DSWD Regional Office 2 was able to help them.

01:13Aside from the help provided by the LGU, the government also prepared additional relief supplies.

01:19Not only in Tuguegaro, but also in the four provinces of Cagayan Valley Region,

01:23Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, and Batanes.

01:28The DSWD Region 2 was able to provide food and non-food items worth less than P21 million

01:35to those affected by the flood in Cagayan Valley.

01:38The most was provided to the province of Cagayan with more than 12,000 food and non-food items.

01:45Isabela was able to provide more than 13,000 food and non-food items.

01:49And Quirino was able to provide more than P600,000.

01:54Luisa, the LGU and the DSWD are sleepless here in their place.

02:01Especially when the President ordered that he should not feed the victims of the flood.
