00:00The Philippine Area of Responsibility has finally released the typhoon Pepito.

00:04Let's check on the weather this week from Pag-asa Weather Specialist, Simon Magumsiah.

00:11Good evening, Sir Simon.

00:12Good evening, Ma'am Sheila and to our listeners.

00:16As of now, at 4 p.m., the typhoon Pepito has been reported outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility

00:24in the category of Seville Tropical Storm.

00:27It is located 410 km west of Lawag City, Ilocos Norte,

00:32and has a wind speed of 110 km per hour

00:36and a wind speed of 135 km per hour.

00:40At the moment, it is moving west-north-westward at a speed of 20 km per hour.

00:45And because it is also outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility,

00:49we have not been able to see any tropical cyclone wind signals in the areas.

00:54But we have seen a gale warning in the northern seaboard of Northern Luzon.

01:01But this is not because of the typhoon Pepito,

01:04but because of the northeasterly surface wind.

01:08At the moment, we are experiencing party to cloudy skies

01:13and with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms

01:17here in Western Visayas, Caragat, Davao Region, and in the rest of the country.

01:24Here in the Ilocos Region, in Zambales, Cordelia, and Visayas Region,

01:30we are still experiencing cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

01:39At the moment, just like the tropical cyclone that we are showing,

01:44the chances of a typhoon to occur in the next few weeks are low.
