00:00It's week 12 on the block, which means our blockheads have been renovating their Phillip
00:13Island holiday homes for the past three months.
00:16They've reached some monumental milestones, completing three bathrooms, multiple bedrooms
00:23and huge backyards.
00:29Some good.
00:30This is 35, 40 metres of perfection.
00:36And some not so good.
00:38He's given me absolutely nothing.
00:41Not a lot of function, not a lot of enjoyable space.
00:53Are you done?
00:58Checked out?
00:59This is it?
01:00Aye.
01:01Why?
01:02Because I can't.
01:03It's broken.
01:04You are?
01:05Do you know the goss with Kylie and Brad?
01:14She has been very off.
01:18Something happened on Saturday night and it hasn't sat too well with Kylie and now
01:27Brad's in on a fair bit of trouble.
01:48Does it, um, upset you to know how much you've hurt Kylie?
01:58Yeah, a hundred percent.
02:01How many f***ing chances have I given him?
02:07I can't be on national television with my marriage breaking down.
02:13It honestly disgusts me.
02:16The whole thing was in front of me, like a friend has done that, but also my husband.
02:23It's Monday morning, so let's kick things off with the very last domain open for inspections
02:40for season 20.
02:42And today we'll go in order, starting with house one.
02:46Maddy and Charlotte impressed the judges last night and came in second with 37 points.
02:51This is a hell of a lot of backyard and it's also a hell of a lot of fun.
02:57This is a really big swing of a backyard.
03:00What an oasis.
03:01It's beautiful.
03:02From a marketing perspective, as we've spoken about this being something that could be leased
03:07out independently of the house, I mean, this is insane.
03:11Design, planning, finish, amenity, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick.
03:28Wow.
03:29They've killed it with their styling.
03:32Very nice.
03:33Wow, this is beautiful.
03:35That looks beautiful.
03:37How long has this bread been out here for?
03:39Don't, Christian.
03:41Your lemon?
03:42Yeah, sure.
03:43It's good.
03:44No, get your own.
03:45Thanks, mate.
03:49Jeez.
03:50This feels very, very livable, very functional.
03:55That's a lot of fans.
03:56It's very well laid out.
03:58Very well laid out.
03:59Holy cow.
04:00This pizza oven is sick.
04:03Nice wine area.
04:05Do you want the rest?
04:06No, mate.
04:07And this is where the stairs go up.
04:10I love the stairs.
04:11I love them.
04:12The stairs look cool.
04:13Yeah, it's good to have good roof access.
04:15Access to the second level.
04:16Yeah, smart.
04:18Is that the spiral staircase they were talking about or no?
04:20No, I don't think so.
04:21Yeah.
04:22I like how they put games everywhere.
04:24Is this badminton?
04:26It may be.
04:30Oh, Tina.
04:31Two for two, Tina.
04:33What the hell?
04:34Oh, jeez.
04:35So you guys won the basketball?
04:38This is so nice.
04:40Beautiful.
04:41Yeah, it's definitely my favourite.
04:43It just feels very homey, very welcoming.
04:46Ah, good.
04:47Tonne of work done.
04:50Well done.
04:57Courtney and Grant took our backyard week with 39 points,
05:00which included two tens.
05:03I literally thought house one had hit it out of the ballpark,
05:07and I think we've got a contender.
05:09How cool is this?
05:10This is an outdoor kitchen.
05:11You know what?
05:12I'm looking at house one going, oh no, they didn't do that.
05:15That is phenomenal.
05:17There's so many different functions,
05:19from entertaining to just sitting around, enjoying a fire pit,
05:24all the different cooking options.
05:26It actually has a lot of use.
05:29This is 35, 40 metres of perfection.
05:40The most well-deserved ten of the competition, for sure.
05:46Hands down.
05:47Stunning.
05:49Wow.
05:50Yep, lovely.
05:51Loving the concrete seats.
05:57Oh, jeez, that's cold on the bum though.
05:59That is.
06:01Oh, this is nice.
06:02I like this kind of area.
06:04This is fun.
06:05Oh, and the outdoor shower.
06:07Very Mediterranean.
06:09I love it.
06:10It's a big backyard.
06:11It's a huge backyard.
06:12They've done so well.
06:13They should be very proud.
06:14Can't wait to see it all complete.
06:17Another couple of fans.
06:18Yep.
06:19Egg strips over the dining area, where it should be.
06:22Yeah, nice.
06:23Styling of the table.
06:25Yes.
06:26Crazy.
06:28Yeah, that's cracking styling, isn't it?
06:30Yep.
06:32Mind you, we didn't have a dining table to style.
06:34No.
06:36Ricky and Hayden came in fourth with 32 points.
06:41This is a backyard.
06:42Ha!
06:44Wow.
06:45Where are we again?
06:46We could be anywhere, right?
06:47Yeah.
06:48Like, the trees coming from the top of the building
06:50all the way down to the fence line.
06:51Once these lily pillies grow,
06:54then you're going to just be hemmed in with green,
06:57with a green canopy above you.
06:59This is, like, super pretty.
07:01Hemmed in with green, with a green canopy above you.
07:04This is, like, super private.
07:06We've got swing set.
07:07We've got sculpture.
07:09We now have all the birds.
07:10That makes sense it's a football pitch.
07:12It makes sense.
07:13It ticks so many great boxes.
07:16That's a very cool swing set, isn't it?
07:18That is a proper family backyard.
07:24Do you like the sculpture?
07:25Yeah.
07:31Wow.
07:32Wow.
07:33It's so large and in charge.
07:35Jesus.
07:36Look at the size of this lawn.
07:38Wow.
07:39So much lawn.
07:40Literally, you could play footy in here.
07:42Oh, my gosh.
07:43The swing set.
07:44Yeah, I think they built this as part of their DIY.
07:46That is incredible.
07:49Oh, gee.
07:50It's wobbling.
07:51No, I'm joking.
07:52That is actually a very cool idea.
07:54I think it's a 10 in my eyes.
07:55Just that.
07:56See the fence?
07:57Black.
07:58Looks good.
07:59I like it.
08:00I really love it.
08:01Wow.
08:02The boys have done a great job.
08:03This is a huge backyard.
08:04I feel like it's a party house backyard for sure.
08:06Yeah.
08:11Did you get that?
08:14You did a good job.
08:15Did you not get that?
08:16Oh, my God.
08:19Kylie and Brad's incomplete backyard
08:21disappointed the judges who scored them 27 out of 40
08:24and took out last place.
08:27That's a big pool.
08:28It's a great size pool.
08:30However, it's a bit of a wasted opportunity
08:33given that we've got a small area there
08:36and the rest of it's kind of...
08:39No offence, but it's just landscaping.
08:41I was going to say he's given me absolutely nothing.
08:44I've got a runway of a boardwalk through here
08:47and I've got another pathway on the side there.
08:49I've got all this wasted space around here as well at the same time.
08:52You have lots of walkways,
08:54lots of different heights and different materials,
08:57but not a lot of function, not a lot of enjoyable space.
09:01And we need to judge what we're seeing,
09:03and what we're seeing is just a really poorly planned,
09:06uninviting space.
09:08There's nothing about this that says,
09:11come and hang in my backyard.
09:13That pool is massive.
09:14I actually really like these.
09:16Are they tiles?
09:17Yeah.
09:18They're tiles.
09:19I actually really like them.
09:20The black inside's nice.
09:21That's cool.
09:22Black actually looks pretty good.
09:23Like when it didn't have water in it,
09:25I wasn't sure about it, but...
09:27It looks nice.
09:28It doesn't even look like that dark.
09:30At night...
09:31At night it's a bit scary.
09:33Is it?
09:34No, I always think the shark's going to come out.
09:37Didn't they say the deck wasn't finished?
09:39Oh, no, it's under here.
09:41Hmm?
09:42Ah, OK.
09:43Ideally you'd have a screen up around that thing, wouldn't you?
09:46But I think you'd plan to do some crazy paving through here.
09:49Yeah.
09:50They just ran out of time.
09:52They ran out of time.
09:54Yeah.
09:55That's a shame because...
09:56It's a nice layout.
09:57Spatially it's really nice.
09:59It's a very nice layout.
10:00I think Brad had to lay most of this turf himself.
10:02I think he did pretty well considering he had half his team.
10:05Yeah.
10:06Kick it in and then walk off, maybe.
10:08You won this part.
10:11Christian!
10:13Christian!
10:16Oh!
10:21Lucky last is Christian and Mimi who place third with 35 points.
10:26Wow, that's dramatic.
10:28Look at the tiling.
10:30That is stunning.
10:31Wow.
10:33As soon as you walk in, you're drawn to it.
10:36Dusk Scream Resort.
10:37Where's the barbecue?
10:39There is no barbecue.
10:40That's a smoker.
10:41Did you win the walk barbecue?
10:42Yes, we did.
10:43Where is the wolf barbecue going?
10:45On the balcony.
10:47This is where the wolf barbecue should have been, they said.
10:50It's private.
10:51We're not...
10:52Exactly.
10:53We're seeing lots of trees and lots of sky.
10:54We don't have an immediate neighbour here.
10:56We don't have an immediate neighbour there.
10:58It's privacy.
11:13Didn't utter a sound.
11:17The crazy paver.
11:19It's so beautiful.
11:20Yeah, I love the crazy paver.
11:21That's a lot of work.
11:22Oh, they have two gates.
11:23Oh, wow.
11:24Look at their furniture.
11:25You know what it is, Gordie?
11:26It's camarage.
11:27And Leah would have loved it.
11:29Oh, the curved deck.
11:30The curved deck.
11:31That is beautiful.
11:32Just look at that engine.
11:34That's sick.
11:35Love the tiles around the pool.
11:37Yeah, that's sick.
11:38Wow.
11:39It's gorgeous.
11:40Oh, that's cool.
11:41Yeah, that's sick.
11:42Wow.
11:43It's cool.
11:44I love the colour of the pool.
11:45I love the tiles.
11:46This is going to sell really well.
11:47Definitely.
11:48I love the pathway through and all the trees lining it.
11:51And, like, look, they've got all this privacy here with those trees.
11:54Yeah.
11:55Like, that's incredible.
11:56Oh, is that what those poles were for?
11:59Yeah, they're featured.
12:00That's really cool.
12:01No wonder we've got poor reception down the bottom of the block.
12:04I'm sure Lovett's chopped down one of the telephone poles and now we can't get into it.
12:08Can't make calls down the back.
12:10I'll take it up.
12:11Body caught.
12:16How I'm even pretty to you to be on the pain.
12:19I deserve so much better.
12:24Sickening.
12:25Absolutely sickening.
12:33Can you tell me what happened on Saturday night?
12:37I said some pretty inappropriate comments.
12:40Carly overheard them and, very understandably, she's quite upset.
12:48How many **** chances have I given him?
12:51Yeah, a lot.
12:54Time after time.
13:07Are you done?
13:09Checked out.
13:10This is it.
13:12Spoken.
13:13You are.
13:16Do you know the goss with Kylie and Brad?
13:19She has been...
13:20She's been.
13:21...very off.
13:22Like...
13:23Something happened on Saturday night and, um...
13:28I don't know.
13:29I don't know.
13:30I don't know.
13:31I don't know.
13:32I don't know.
13:33I don't know.
13:34I don't know.
13:35Um...
13:37It hasn't sat too well with Kylie.
13:40And now Brad's in a fair bit of trouble.
13:54Can you tell me what happened on Saturday night?
13:58Kylie wouldn't like us talking about...
14:01Or me talking about it.
14:03But I guess it's all already been spoken about, I guess.
14:08Um...
14:10Saturday...
14:11Saturday night.
14:12We still haven't finished.
14:14What have you got left?
14:15Planting.
14:17Thank you, Mimi.
14:18The only thing that got motivated was when Troy came down and was like,
14:21you need to do this, this, this, this, this.
14:23You're welcome.
14:24He's just...
14:25He's just not a leader, like...
14:33Cheers to Backyard Week.
14:37Said some pretty inappropriate comments.
14:43I was flirting with Mimi.
14:46Kylie overheard them and...
14:49Very understandably, she's quite upset.
14:52Very understandably, she's quite upset.
14:54What happened on Saturday night?
15:20What happened on Saturday night?
15:25Things that made me feel very unhappy.
15:32It just makes me...
15:34down about me.
15:39What happened Saturday night?
15:41I'll talk about it later.
15:43That bad?
15:44Mm-hm.
15:45What, you were speaking about your type of people?
15:48Pretty much.
15:49Well, it's happened before and it'll continue to happen.
15:52Plus flirting, plus talking really inappropriately.
15:59What happened Saturday night?
16:01Mimi.
16:03When are you going to finish?
16:05I came over to hang out.
16:07Yeah, well, hang out. Go get the wine and some cups.
16:11Let's do this.
16:15How many f***ing chances have I given him?
16:18A lot.
16:19A lot.
16:21Time after time.
16:27Brad, if I jumped up, would you be able to catch me or match my head?
16:31No, I'd catch you.
16:34I just don't know how many times I have to f***ing tell him.
16:37Like, why should I have to be like, yeah, I'm a bitch,
16:39but Jesus Christ, I would never f***ing talk inappropriately
16:43or f***ing try and, you know, get gratitude from someone else
16:47just to make me feel better.
16:50You know, the whole thing was in front of me
16:53because I'd fallen asleep and then I'd woken back up to that.
17:00F***ing asleep at home.
17:01She was down at our place where Brad was digging holes
17:03and he didn't dig any holes because the whole time he was having a f***ing flirt.
17:09Are you going to call me again in the morning or what?
17:11No.
17:13How come you rang me?
17:16I don't know why.
17:19What I did when I was drunk is none of my business.
17:22It's none of mine either.
17:26Oh, like Brad's like, oh, you know I'd follow your OnlyFans.
17:37I actually feel disgusted.
17:39And how little I mean to him is really sad.
17:42Really sad.
17:48Why?
17:50I don't know why.
17:51I just, it wasn't my intent to set out to do it.
17:58I guess I'm just really not thinking about what I'm doing at all.
18:06Or anyone else.
18:08I guess I'm embarrassed and I feel,
18:13I feel sorry for other people having to live with my choices.
18:24Yeah, I feel s***.
18:29There's no one, yeah.
18:33She's the last person I want to hurt.
18:35She's the last person I want to hurt.
18:39Her or my kids or my family.
18:47But I managed to do it anyways.
18:54Is this something that you think is just going to go away?
18:57Is it going to get better or, you know?
18:59There's no, there's no way this is going away or,
19:04or getting better.
19:11It's done.
19:20As it is front facade week,
19:21we're beginning to see the exteriors of all the houses come to life.
19:28And today, block architect Julian Brenchley
19:30has stopped by to have a sneak peek
19:32at how his chosen external facades are looking.
19:41I'm really liking the external cutting of the James Hardy.
19:44Because they're all different, aren't they?
19:46Mate, it's so impressive and being able to sort of
19:48showcase five different products through the James Hardy range.
19:52I mean, that oblique is amazing.
19:54Christian and Mimi's facade features a mixture of James Hardy products
19:58Upstairs consists of the oblique cladding
20:01with alternating board widths in grey.
20:03Whilst downstairs uses white brushed concrete cladding.
20:07It's so robust.
20:08It's pre-cut, pre-primed.
20:10It's going to last a lifetime.
20:11It's perfect for this coastal environment.
20:13It's just going to work really well.
20:15Just like house five,
20:17Riggi and Hayden's will also feature oblique cladding
20:20in grey with dark accents.
20:24Maddie and Charlotte's house will feature fine texture cladding
20:27with contrasting accents.
20:30And we've got different styles.
20:31I want to see this one down here,
20:32the old traditional weatherboard.
20:33Yeah, come and have a look at this.
20:34Oh, that's the same product?
20:35Yes.
20:36Courtney and Grant's house will be a standout
20:38using white linear weatherboard
20:40as well as black accents
20:42and an American oak timber front door.
20:45It looks a bit traditional using the weatherboard,
20:47but the linear product,
20:48giving it that sort of contemporary flair.
20:50I can't wait to see the whole lot done together.
20:52Like each house has an identity
20:54with the nature of the product.
20:56So, like, it's absolutely perfect.
20:58And finally, house four features
21:00white horizontal stria cladding
21:02as well as axon cladding.
21:05It's unbelievable.
21:06I mean, 20 seasons of the block,
21:07we've always wanted to do our take on Melrose Place.
21:11Melrose Place.
21:12So it takes all the houses around the pool?
21:14Around the pool.
21:15It's absolutely classic.
21:16People are going to love this joint.
21:19This week we jumped on the Domain in the no-hub
21:21and what a surprise,
21:22we're doing front yard and facade.
21:26With the winning team taking home the Ford Mach-E this week,
21:29the stakes have never been higher.
21:32Maddie and Charlotte have the smallest front yard this week
21:35at 315 square metres.
21:38Our plan for the front yard is to do a tile path
21:41that leads into a deck
21:42and then there'll be another little sitting area deck
21:45outside the main bedroom
21:46and then lots of grass and some garden beds.
21:51Our plans for the garage are
21:53shelving for storage,
21:54Grafico wallpaper on the wall,
21:56VJ panelling on the other walls.
22:00Front's very basic.
22:01It is, yeah.
22:02And that's all you really need for a front yard.
22:03Simple, like you've got white cladding,
22:05let's make it nice and clean,
22:06grass, plants up against the white.
22:09Facade is the most important part.
22:10100%.
22:11Not to put any pressure on, but like...
22:12That's your key.
22:13Yeah, this is...
22:14Entranceway.
22:15So, let's collate all these ideas together.
22:18Landscaping is Grant's wheelhouse,
22:20he's a landscape business development manager.
22:23So, he's well and truly in his element.
22:26For the front yard,
22:27what we want to do is focus on straight appeal
22:29and create a grand entrance leading up to the door.
22:32So, we're going to invest our money...
22:34Into that, like, entrance feature.
22:35Into the entrance features.
22:37Courtney and Grant have a large front yard this week,
22:40giving them room to wow the judges.
22:43What we've got in my head
22:45is you mirror each side with lily pillies,
22:47frame it, right?
22:49Then we create a low-lying hedge out the front
22:51in a small, thin garden bed,
22:53so that separates you from the street.
22:55If you're starting in the middle and walking up to your door,
22:58you'll walk through three steel arbors.
23:00You'll have layered plants either side.
23:02You'll have walkways off to the driveway
23:04and walkways off to the master bedroom patio area,
23:07which will take you through the native garden.
23:09Under the master bedroom patio area,
23:11you'll have two arbors with a vine
23:13that's going to one day grow over the top
23:15and have a nice, relaxed, entertaining space.
23:17To break up the turf and whatnot,
23:20we want to have our feature centrepiece
23:22in the middle of the yard,
23:24which is an established olive tree
23:26built around a raised travertine garden bed.
23:28People can just, you know,
23:30wander on with a cup of coffee or a beer
23:32and, you know, sit around the tree and have a chat.
23:37The boys have a slightly smaller space this week,
23:40which includes their back deck, side passage and front yard.
23:45The last three weeks, Ricky and Hayden have won $80,000.
23:49There it is, baby. There it is. 50 Gs.
23:52Well, there you go. Five grand each from Ford.
23:55Splitting the winnings.
23:56That's what you need to win, huh, brother?
23:58$10,000.
24:00$10,000!
24:02I'll take that. Don't give that to him.
24:04He snatches everything.
24:06Hey! Yes!
24:08Nice work.
24:10So the boys have big plans.
24:12So let's just scrap the yard and we'll build a playground out here.
24:15So street fighter in that corner. Yep.
24:17Second pool table. Yep.
24:19And then 14 beer fridges across the back.
24:21Beautiful. We'll scrap it.
24:23And unlike everyone else,
24:25the boys are constructing their deck this week.
24:27We've got a garage, then we've got a nice little side path
24:30that goes past the bar crusher.
24:32Round the back, we've got a deck with entertaining area.
24:35We've got some food cubes,
24:37which is like self-sustained planter boxes
24:39with, you know, herbs and fresh veg.
24:42It's like self-sustained, self-sufficient.
24:44Then around the front, we're just going to do plants galore.
24:48Slap in a big tree.
24:50That's going to be the big feature out the front.
24:53Well, it's a factory of fun. That's where you want to be.
24:55If you don't like fun, it might be somewhere else.
24:57It's going to be a lot of coverage to do, a lot of tasks,
25:00and there's a lot of work for our chippies to do,
25:02so we're going to be under the pump.
25:06As we're standing here at late morning on Monday,
25:09we haven't even put a shovel in the ground.
25:12You'll get it done, mate. You'll get it done.
25:14Ah, we'll get there.
25:16We are finishing our block house with our front yard,
25:19and that includes our beautiful balcony.
25:22Christian and Mimi have the biggest space again this week,
25:25390 square metres,
25:27which includes their upstairs entertainer's deck.
25:31Our plans have a lounge area, dining table, bar table
25:34and our wolf barbecue that we want in week one.
25:40What are your plans for the future?
25:43From what I understand,
25:45there's some things potentially going on in the background
25:49between them two.
25:51I've been assured that it's something to do with the landscaping.
25:54Really hoping to just give them as much support as we can,
25:58come back and try and bolt this over for them.
26:01But for now, we're just going to let them breathe
26:04and see if they can resolve what they need to resolve
26:07between themselves, yeah.
26:10Coming up...
26:11Look how pretty it is.
26:13Hey.
26:15Don't f*** up.
26:17He's back.
26:19We catch up with some familiar faces...
26:21How you going? ...from the Oslo.
26:23If you're going to do something, just half-assed is fine.
26:26Just scrape through. Yeah, just don't...
26:29Is that a North Coast mentality?
26:31Yeah, yeah, yeah, we're just...
26:38ROCK MUSIC
26:41Front facade week is well and truly underway.
26:44Is this real?
26:46That means for one team, it's time to pull the High Pages lever.
26:49Wait.
26:51Not too hard.
26:53What are you doing? You just need to tap it.
26:56OK.
26:57Don't do it too hard.
26:59I thought you were going to go straight through the lever.
27:01You just meant to, like, give it a small hit.
27:03Should I go harder then?
27:08Run.
27:12Oh, my God.
27:14What did you do?
27:18I don't know why you hit it so hard for.
27:21We pulled the High Pages lever.
27:23We were super excited.
27:25All right, this is going to pay for most of our front garden.
27:28Go.
27:33Yeah!
27:35Woo-hoo!
27:3715 Gs, baby!
27:39Scotty came immediately.
27:44Scotty came. Isn't it amazing how that works?
27:46It was weird. Like, we just...
27:48Mimi lit the flare and he saw it from a few streets away.
27:52Can't miss it, though.
27:54I saw the distress signal.
27:56Well, you get $10,000 worth of trades... Yeah.
27:59..and $5,000 to spend on something nice for your front yard.
28:03What do you need?
28:05We need some tilers to put down our pods and pavers for the balcony.
28:08OK, tilers. All right.
28:10So the task at hand for our High Pages this week is
28:13there's a little system where to install these tiles or pavers
28:18without actually grouting.
28:20They just sort of sit freestanding on a pod.
28:23And the pods are adjustable to get them all to the right height.
28:26And, yeah, pretty much...
28:28It's pretty cool. It is pretty cool.
28:30I'm not sure about that action.
28:33Oh, yeah. Um...
28:42But it is really cool. It's more like a...
28:44I can't fix it. I can't make it better.
28:47I was watching them do it. That's how they were doing it.
28:50No, don't. You have to.
28:52So that or that? Yeah, you're going like that.
28:55One of the two.
28:57Yeah, and what they do is they set it to a level that's level with your floor
29:01and then it's level with the top of the structural steel
29:04and it pretty much just levels out.
29:06And once you get your first row laid, they sort of all just...
29:09You put one down, put one down.
29:11All right, Beardy. Well done. Thanks, Beardy.
29:14So now Christian just has to send out his request on High Pages.
29:19It's the best place to source a range of different tradies.
29:22Get close. Done.
29:25All the teams are cracking on with the planning and organising
29:28for their front yards.
29:30And with this being the last chance to impress the judges with their homes,
29:34our blockheads want to leave no stone unturned.
29:38In case you missed it, back in week six, I made this little announcement.
29:43In the last week of the series, you are going to renovate HQ,
29:48turning it into a fantastic clubhouse thanks to Disney+.
29:52Now, we are dividing this area into five spaces separate,
29:56but very distinctive.
29:58And the winner will get $50,000 off their reserve price.
30:04Oh!
30:07In their area, Christian and Mimi have the cinema space.
30:10So Mimi's off to start shopping.
30:12I'm at Flooring Extra right now to pick flooring for the cinema room
30:16for the Disney+. Clubhouse.
30:18And what were you thinking? Carpet.
30:21The vibe we're going for is like an upgraded, like a luxe cinema room,
30:25so it will be very sophisticated.
30:28So you can see these plush piles really absorb the light.
30:31Mm-hm.
30:32There's not much reflection going on,
30:34and you get a slight twist in it as well.
30:36I think I like the darker one. Yeah?
30:38Yeah, there's more depth to it. It looks really luxe.
30:41I really love it. Yeah, perfect.
30:43That's great. Thank you.
30:45Next stop, E&S Trading, to choose an oven for their adjoining kitchenette.
30:50So this is the first ever Eunox car that you've produced.
30:53Yeah.
30:54Which is the most extraordinary commercial-grade oven manufacturer
30:57that's built this one to go into domestic joinery.
30:59Four different fan speeds, so easy to use.
31:02It's got an automatic cleaning system inside,
31:04so it's like a dishwasher inside,
31:06but it washes the internal so it's perfectly clean after using it.
31:09What?
31:11This could be for you, Mimi.
31:12I think so too. I don't cook, so it sounds amazing.
31:18Back at the block,
31:20the boys from House 3 are gearing up to make some serious business deals.
31:24Off to see a man about a tree.
31:26Are you going to get changed?
31:28We're going to get changed.
31:29Yeah, I think you can't be doing business looking like this.
31:31No.
31:32If you're going to go and get the best sort of business deal
31:34in any sort of business meeting,
31:35you've got to look like you're ready for business.
31:38MUSIC
31:48It's deal time, baby.
31:49We need the biggest tree the block's ever seen.
31:51Block first.
31:53We made the two-hour trip out to Hoddles Creek and we met Ben.
31:56I'm going to give Ben a call.
31:58Give him a buzz, mate.
31:59Get me to the right spot.
32:00I hope so.
32:01There's some palms around, but you never know.
32:03Read on.
32:04BEEP
32:08No coverage.
32:09What's his number?
32:10I might have...
32:13Oh!
32:15Hang on.
32:16This bloke looks like he knows what he's doing.
32:18Mate, we're here to see a man about a palm.
32:20I'm that man.
32:21You are the man.
32:22We can tell.
32:25It was like Jurassic Park.
32:27It was dead set like Jurassic Park.
32:29It was just monster palms just everywhere
32:31in the middle of Australian bush.
32:34MUSIC
32:55You know the saying,
32:57you know when you know?
32:59Yeah.
33:00I got that feeling.
33:03As soon as I laid eyes...
33:08When you know, you know.
33:10When you know, you know.
33:12And I know it's not this.
33:15I think it's that one.
33:20Obviously, you mentioned the length of the trunk
33:23is a big factor when it comes to the palm.
33:26What about the width?
33:28There's one outlier there.
33:29It's a bit chunkier.
33:30Yep.
33:31They're all pretty much standard.
33:35You're looking at its trunk.
33:37I was looking at its girth.
33:38Yes.
33:39Admirable.
33:42In a palm's case, it's the length, not the girth.
33:46When you're choosing an established tree,
33:48you've got to feel that emotional connection.
33:50You don't rush into it.
33:52You know, take your time.
33:54Get around the trees.
33:56Just breathe in the air around them.
33:58Maybe have a touch of the trunk.
34:01Are you ready?
34:03One, two, three.
34:06Wow.
34:07That's amazing.
34:08What a power.
34:10What a powerful, powerful tree.
34:13I can feel that emotional connection, man.
34:15So can I.
34:16This is the palm.
34:17This is the moment that the boys can win the Mustang.
34:24It came down to us choosing the one
34:26that we had our eyes set on when we first walked in.
34:29When you know you know.
34:30This is the one.
34:31Yep.
34:32Definitely.
34:33And now we need to talk price with it.
34:36What's the best deal you reckon you could do for this palm?
34:40Yeah, so I spoke to Dave Franklin.
34:46Dave reckons that he's been dealing with Ben
34:48from established trees for years,
34:52and he's never got a discount.
34:54What do you think, Ben?
34:55Okay.
34:56Twelve and a half plus freight plus grain.
34:58Twelve and a half plus freight.
35:00So you're looking at about 17 plus.
35:04Okay, 17 plus.
35:06Dave said that if we can get a discount,
35:08he'll shout us for dinner.
35:1017 plus.
35:14We could go to do it for 16,999 plus.
35:17Deal.
35:18Deal?
35:19Deal.
35:20We got a deal?
35:21Yep.
35:22Thanks, Ben.
35:23Thanks, mate.
35:25We will.
35:26Sucked in, Dave Franklin.
35:40It's full steam ahead at the block.
35:46And with the Ford Mach-E up for grabs this week,
35:49each house wants to nail their front yard in garages.
35:53So to make sure that happens,
35:55the team from Auto Remote Access
35:57have been on site to help with some state-of-the-art garage doors.
36:01Let's talk garage doors.
36:02Awesome. Let's do it.
36:03I have some photos of examples of the custom steel series doors.
36:06Wow.
36:07So smooth finish, just real clean lines,
36:09real solid-looking door.
36:10We're going to have sort of five features.
36:12Each house will get to choose from one feature.
36:14With five features on offer, one per house,
36:16it's first in, best dressed.
36:18Let's do the keypad.
36:19Locked in.
36:20Locked in.
36:21Are we locking and loading in on the Wi-Fi app integration?
36:24Yeah. Yeah, definitely that.
36:25I think smartphone camera monitoring will be our choice.
36:28Unreal. OK.
36:29Consider it yours.
36:30While it's safe for them, electronic deadbolt.
36:32Lock it in. Lock it in.
36:33Yeah?
36:35That was quick.
36:36I think it just makes sense.
36:37Which leaves Ricky and Hayden option number five.
36:43The boys from ARA are back today to check on progress,
36:46and Dunk has had what some might call a bright idea.
36:50Hey, Ricky.
36:51Duncan.
36:52How do you guys feel about a pink garage door
36:54to match your front doors?
37:01Yep, fantastic.
37:02Love it.
37:03OK.
37:04We'll let you know when you get back.
37:06That sort of was a yes, wasn't it?
37:07They said yes.
37:08Yeah, yeah.
37:09All right, let's do it.
37:10Let's do it.
37:11Do you want to send that to the boys?
37:14Just triple check.
37:15Just triple check.
37:16Imagine they lock it up on the day.
37:18That's a statement.
37:19Yeah, it's what happens is Dan goes,
37:21yeah, yeah, yeah, right.
37:22When you leave, he goes,
37:23I can't believe you're going ahead with that.
37:25Garage door doesn't have to be just a garage door.
37:28No.
37:29Make it a statement piece of it.
37:30Yeah, definitely.
37:31It's the front of the house.
37:33It's the first thing you see when you come down the block.
37:35It could even be, like,
37:37if you think about that perfect real estate shop,
37:39it might even be in that shop.
37:45As always, last night's room winners are Grinners,
37:48and today is no exception.
37:51So Courtney and Grant are heading overseas.
37:54We've got our holiday.
37:55Going overseas, baby.
37:59Look how pretty it is.
38:00How nice.
38:01Off to Europe.
38:02It's like, where did we go?
38:05Capri.
38:06Amalfi, yeah.
38:07Jumped on the ferry, cows,
38:08went across the high seas to Stoney Point.
38:11So this is an island?
38:12Yeah.
38:14Ah, good.
38:15Cameras are all running.
38:16Yes, they're ready for us.
38:18Hey, we're not going to say anything bad
38:20about the block or anything.
38:23Andy and Deb joined us in 2019 at the Oslo...
38:27I'm ready!
38:28..where they were the life of the party.
38:39Back on!
38:42Hello.
38:43Hello, Scotty.
38:44I met with Andy and Deb who were there
38:46as our Uber drivers in the Ford Mustang.
38:48And Scotty.
38:49And Scotty.
38:50Hi!
38:52It's Andy and Deb!
38:54How are you?
38:55Nice to see you.
38:56How are you feeling?
38:57I'm good, I'm good.
38:58My hands are freezing, sorry.
39:00We're feeling great today.
39:02Yeah, we got it.
39:03They're amazing.
39:04Yeah.
39:05They're, yeah.
39:06They're so nice.
39:07Hit it off straight away.
39:08We actually did hit it off straight away.
39:09We had amazing chats on the way to Flinders Hotel.
39:17When you celebrate,
39:18you just can't say sucked in to the others.
39:20No, exactly.
39:21Exactly.
39:22No, we haven't done that.
39:23Tried not to.
39:28Looks good.
39:29It does.
39:30So nice.
39:31Mate, this is supposed to be really flashy.
39:33I got sheets on the bed and everything.
39:35Running water.
39:37And then it was followed by a dinner with Scotty, Andy and Deb.
39:41We're here to celebrate an incredible win
39:44with two 10s on my hand, which is incredible.
39:48Amazing.
39:49And that's what tonight's all about.
39:50And tomorrow morning will be a new dawn.
39:52Cheers, guys.
39:53So nice to meet you guys.
39:54Cheers.
39:55Cheers.
39:56Andy's so funny.
39:58He really just, he made me laugh.
40:00Have you got the 10 grand yet?
40:02No.
40:03No, we're still waiting for it.
40:04We're spending it without getting it.
40:06So it's a bad, it's a bad way to do it.
40:08I've spent it today.
40:09I'm going to pay for dinner tonight.
40:11Oh yeah?
40:12Yep.
40:13Oh, I thought we could shout.
40:15She's coming now.
40:16I don't believe him.
40:17No, no.
40:18I'm just going to put a card on the bar.
40:20I'll pay, I'll pay cash.
40:22I'll be able to pay for tonight's dinner please.
40:27That's the drinks and everything as well.
40:29And that's everything?
40:30Wow.
40:31You'll need it for Courtney's drinks.
40:33Did you slip that in there?
40:35He was like, even I didn't know that.
40:37Layla, you come back.
40:40Give it to me.
40:43I'll hold on to that.
40:44Thank you very much.
40:45I'll be taking that.
40:46So after picking my jaw up off the table,
40:49Scotty brings out the Arnott's.
40:53The Arnott's Big Bickies.
40:56Bickies, Bickies.
41:00Big Bickies, make some room over there.
41:03Let me dab you all over this.
41:05There you go.
41:06Ice bar boys.
41:08Love it.
41:09I know there's more.
41:11Here's my favourite Bickies.
41:13I'll take those.
41:15Let's take those too.
41:17Yes.
41:18And of course, some more Scotch.
41:21No, there's another 10,000.
41:2420 grand.
41:25Thank you, Scotty.
41:29I'll take that.
41:30We'll do some damage with this.
41:31Mate, yous can put a wave pool in your hair.
41:34Thank you to Shada and Darren.
41:38Never thought we'd see the day.
41:39Shada and Darren.
41:40Oh, with the two 10s.
41:41Keep up.
41:42Sorry, I'm so tired.
41:44You're the one that slept last night.
41:47Thank you, Arnott's.
41:48Thank you, Arnott's.
41:50Did that all help?
41:51I'm going to take these.
41:52No, no, no, I'll take those.
41:54Oh, I love it.
41:55And then there was some news that Scotty broke to us.
41:58We've got a situation.
42:00Yes, we have got a...
42:02So, Kylie, she went off to her flooring extra consult this morning
42:10and she's never been seen since.
42:15We found her car, microphone, block phone, all the high-vis.
42:22We've done everything we can to locate her and she's not been seen.
42:33We've got a situation.
42:35Yes, we have got a...
42:37So, Kylie, she went off to her flooring extra consult this morning
42:45and she's never been seen since.
42:50We found her car, microphone, block phone, all the high-vis.
42:57We've done everything we can to locate her and she's not been seen.
43:28BEEP
43:42Her scissors are on the front seat because they won't let you take them as carry-on.
43:49She's literally just jumped on the plane, right?
43:53Yeah.
43:58SHE SOBS
44:07You scared, bud?
44:08Yeah.
44:10Who isn't scared of losing their family?
44:14HEAVY BREATHING
44:24All right, so I'm saying goodbye.
44:27I can't be on national television with having my marriage breaking down.
44:33I'm going home and I can't say I'll be returning.
44:38You can talk to Brad about the details but, unfortunately, I can't do it anymore.
44:44I don't need to always be made out to be crabby and the bad guy anymore.
44:49Thank you for the opportunity and I'm sorry I couldn't stay until the end.
44:52I'm just not strong enough anymore.
44:54Thanks, guys. Love you.
45:08DOOR SLAMS
45:11Knowing Kylie, do you think it's likely that she'll come back?
45:15Not if she's gone.
45:21Not if she's gone through the effort to leave.
45:31Well, she's left the block, mate, but has she left you as well?
45:38I'd say so.
45:45I'd very much say that I've just single-handedly destroyed my family.
45:53What are you gonna do?
45:55What can I do?
45:59What could I do?
46:02MUSIC PLAYS
46:07So, you guys were just...talking? Yeah.
46:18HE CLEARS THROAT
46:20HE CLEARS THROAT
46:29Mimi, can you tell me what happened on Saturday night?
46:34So?
46:40Tomorrow night...
46:43..it's a front yard free-for-all for our final week working on our block houses.
46:47Have you got any leftover concrete, lads?
46:49Just send it down to House 3.
46:51But it's not a fair playing field for the girls in House 1.
46:54We can't even do, like, our deck.
46:56Our site has been a storage facility for, like, since day one,
46:59for the entire block.
47:01One team is flying high with plenty of cash to splash.
47:04You're talking nearly nine grand.
47:06Just because we've got 30 grand, we don't want to make a circus.
47:09We want to do it tastefully. I love this idea.
47:11I think it'll look really nice. Yeah.
47:13We believe we're delivering a Ford Mustang meeting garden.
47:17And the boys from House 3 are left robbed...
47:20..by rocks.
47:22We stood back and looked at it and went,
47:24oh, God, what have we just done?
47:27Oh, my God.
47:29It's just a complete disaster, boys.
47:31You guys actually did this?
47:33LAUGHTER
47:35Oh, this is gold.
